"It's all on emotion," Dicker said, adding that he wanted to give people an opportunity to speak their minds.
"I'm letting them say what they want to say -- get it all off their chest," Dicker said."
------------------------------------------------
Maybe Dicker is not aware, but the right to say what they want to say cometh from the First Ammendment of the US Constitution. He is not invested in the power to declare otherwise.
When is RT going to get rid of this jerk?
------------------------------------------------
The First Ammendment to the US Constitution:
Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.
For someone with the user name "Rational", at times, your posts are anything but rational. You really need to take a step back and think about it from Mr. Dickers perspective, he must stay neutral during the hearings, it is not until he actually votes that he can use his judgment to say yes or no...Nothing that he says in the press, or in the hearings can really be taken as a yes or no vote...........Think about it............
Craig Fernety of course has already seen your post, direct quoted from it (why would he be afraid to show himself on this forum, I wonder), and I am sure he will now use it in his slanderous posts on the nj.com web site. His posts this past week show that he is having one major psychotic episode
As for Freedom of speech, in general, in order to step up and actually have the freedom to say what you want, you need to do so out in the open under your own name. As has been pointed out in the past, Ted Doty, while attempting to exercise his freedom of speech, got caught with his pants down by writing letters to the editor under other peoples names instead of his own. Please let this be a lesson for you and for Craig Fernety, and Russ, and once again Ted.................
Again, remember, at this point in time, less is more. The more you fight with people like Ted/Russ/Craig on the nj.com site, the more they win......The more we ignore them and their antagonistic posts (I feel sorry for the Denville folks right now as they are just new fuel for their sick and twisted head games), the more frustrated they become....Just look at their mental meltdown as it appears online since my original "Less is More" posts...........
Do I really need to say anything else? No, I didn't think so.
You have your right to express your opinion, as you just have, and so do I, and I did. I find Dicker to be a sactimionious ass with statements like the one shown at the beginning of this thread. Dicker is not listening to the people; he is engaged in a charade. Dimwit Dimin will make the decision for the board and the board will vote per his suggestion. The only one that I think may vote based on his own analysis of the situation will be Sceusi.
As for nj.com, I have never posted a single item on that venue. Never will. I know that it is owned and completely controlled by mr ireland, so why bother? I would think that one would have to be quite ignorant to think otherwise or to post anything there.
As for Dickers unwillingness to accept the petition from the good people of RT, look again at a portion of the first ammendment of the constitution:
". . . and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances".
---------------------------------
What part of that does he not understand?? Again, consider this mans arrogance, lawsuit or not. Personally, I think that he should consider civic activities more in line with his abilities; perhaps running a Bingo game or something like that would be more appropriate than running a planning board.
Do your homework, there is a proper and legal way to submit the petition. Blurting it out at the planning board meeting is not it. Whining about not ebing able to blurt it out at the planning board meeting isn't it either.
Craig Fernety,
Since I have been banned from your site (guess you did not like being caught in your own lies), I'll post my response here.
If I did not have a young child and wife at home that I had to worry about hearing from you calling us on the phone and harrassing us like you have others who still live in NJ in the past (yes, I do know, bet that makes you angry), I would gladly state just who I am. In the mean time, I'll ask the same mostly unanswered question that I did before I was banned:
Why is it that you use more than one user name on your own site (yes, we know this as well)?
Why is it that a person not even living in the state of NJ any longer is so hell bent on making the citizens of Rockaway, NJ look so bad?
What is your deep seated obsession with Vort?
Why is it you are so sure that you are right and everyone else is wrong?
You want to personally attack me, come back to NJ and do it face to face like a man, instead of hiding behind your multi-persona online entity. You name the time, I'll name the place. If you are afraid that I might do something to harm you, we can even make it at the Rockaway Township municipal buildingwith police all around to protect you from yourself.
"Do your homework, there is a proper and legal way to submit the petition. Blurting it out at the planning board meeting is not it. Whining about not ebing able to blurt it out at the planning board meeting isn't it either."

Pray tell me, Mr. Bill, is it the job of government to make the exercise of our freedoms as difficult as possible or as easy as possible?
If there are roadblocks that have been put into place (probably illegally) preventing submission of petition, then the PB chairman should have articulated the exact process by which the exercise of the freedom of petition could be expressed.
That is not what the jerk did, now is it? He just played the part of an arrogant pompous ass.
