5000 Customers then; 5000 Customers Now

Ireland claimed that he had 5,000 customers 3 years ago. All of the newspaper articles today make a statement to the effect that he has 5,000 customers now.

Has there been no change in patronage? How is the planning board to evaluate the IMPACT of this business on the town when we must deal with the undeniable fraudulant representations that ireland makes about the most basic element of his business - - - the number of customers that he has?

And of course, then there is the more complex area of project growth. RT's PB is not even allowed to discuss that element of irelands state sponsered business.

And long ago, when asked how many members vs. nonmembers attend his church, he said 3750 members attend, and "many, many" nonmembers attend. Keep in mind that membership in Christ Church involves a 3-month course and a commitment to tithe.

I am sure that most will prefer to "pay as you go" to come to the circus.

OK -

But without figures revealing the present customer base and customer growth projections for the future, wouldn't the approval by the RT planning board of such a circus in town be tantamount to writing a blank check?

In other words, who is going to have to pay for the civic infrastructure improvements required should, all of a sudden, 25,000 people start attending this circus every Sunday?

Would that be a responsible position for the RT PB to take? Does RLUIPA require a community to write blank checks given the present circumstances.

The questions surrounding the cc issue do not get more fundamental than that. And, they have not been answered by the developer.

Yup!

His jewish PR man has done an excellent job promoting irelands "Christ-Like" business. Many are fooled in this world. Ireland is certainly getting his moneys worth. Remember the basic marketing principle:

Negative advertising is much better than no advertising at all.

...especially when you can look like a well-intentioned, ever-forgiving victim of prejudice. [sniff]
