Dicker speaks out

http://www.dailyrecord.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20060520/COMMUNITIES43/605200317/1203/NEWS01

"Dicker said it is his "hope" that a vote will be taken by August. He did not say how he might vote, but he said residents arguing against the church simply because it is something new and they preferred what was there previously were missing the mark.

Towns can't stay the way they are," Dicker said."

What kind of moronic statement was that? Mort really has his head up his a** with statements like that. He sounds like our town is ready to fold like a cheap lawn chair. His last name fits him to a T! If this board does not bring this all the way through the Federal Courts, they can say goodbye to any future ambitions, from Lou right on down - they should not be foolish enough to think any residents are going to stand by and watch a travesty of justice take place.

Is this man nuts? "residents arguing against the church simply because it is something new and they preferred what was there previously were missing the mark." If he believes this then he's the one missing the mark. Where did he ever get that idea? Is he on the rev's payroll?????

Quoting:

"Is he on the rev's payroll?????"

--------------------

Why not? Everyone else seems to be. Besides that, clearly, he is just trying to slowly get everyone used to the inevitable. It's much better to slowly ease reality on those who have not recognized it for what it is from very early on in the process.

As I have said before, Dimin is a Dimwit (meaning that he is in way over his head) and like John intimated, Dicker is a Dickhead (who is not really concerned with RT and more concerned about being PC).

Can you folks pronounce "New Ireland"?

Yeah, his statements scared the **** out of me. What is going on?! Have they decided that, since not so many people come to the planning board meetings anymore, that we don't care!??

GUESS AGAIN GENTLEMEN! We care!

I too am outraged. From the begining he and Dimwit have seemed to be on the side of CC and aganst the residents. I pray that this is only a show and they realize what a negative impact this project will have on OUR town.

Hey Dicker and Dimwit, let the residents speak there peace no matter how ridiculous some of them may sound, its their right as tax payers. I hope the mayor, who seems to be only one one on the PB with a brain can provide proper guidance to the rest of those clowns.

Mayor Sceusi is the only one with an ounce of sense on the PB as far as I can tell. Maybe some of you may now understand why I "grabbed the mic" the way that I did that night, very early on. You were embarassed by me?? I wanted answers, no matter what the *uckiin legal protocol may have been there. And I got the answers to my questions immediately - - - sometimes the questions being asked were outwardly expressed or in some of the cases they were implied. Nonetheless I understood where this guy (ireland) was at by the a$$holes responses to my inquiry(s) or his lack thereof. (I still have the audio recording of that event {and others}, should anyone have any interest).

I danced on top of Dip$hit Dimins and Dickheads head and ignored the Teeny, Weeny, Itsy, Bitsy, Tiny little gavel of Mr. Dickhead that night> Was that an accident? (Remember that I am a "sound man" by profession and certainly have come to know how to use a mic). {fortunately, those guys on the panel did not know how to use a mic that night).

You folks in RT better wake up!!! The situation is dire, indeed. Personally, I would much prefer to just enjoy our RT backyard deck and the wildlife afforded by this beautiful township. Unforunately, the word "wildlife" could take on a whole new meaning here.

Yup - - - - I am not PC. Sorry. Never will be.

ps - a friend of mine who is well politically connected in Trenton has told me that there is a fundamental move afoot to negate the Keloe supreme court ruling. That is not good for our position.

RT needs to take 140 GPR by Eminent Domain now while the tax loss argument still can hold the test of the the supreme court ruling scrutiny. If ya wait 1 year then that argument may well be down the olde toilet because of the principal of "Federalism".

pss - where is Mari Hamilton in all of this? RT just paid her a bunch of money for what?? Typical lawyer bull$it.

She stands for nothing other than her own public image and pocketbook. She took RT for a ride, indeed. A

Anyone here wanna defend Marci? We are waiting with baited breath.

I thought that RLUIPA gave municipalities the ability to reject a project if there was a sound reason for doing so. Given the traffic problems, uncertain or nonexistent growth projections, proximity to town wells, concerns for wildlife, etc. the PB would not only seem to be well within its rights to turn down the project but would seem to have to turn down the project to uphold their responsibility to protect RT residents. Given that, why is Dicker disregarding all of that? Very strange behavior. Hopefully it is not indicative of the feelings of the PB as a whole.

I think that you are right, rockres. But they would have to have the balls to do that. I do not think that they do. My guess is that Dicker is reflecting the opinion of Dimin who is the one who is really calling the shots. The rest of the cattle will follow.

And, the public comment period is just a charade; it means absolutely nothing. But everyone will go through the motions and some folks will feel better because they expressed themselves.

Since our favorite troll keeps linking people to this thread, I thought I would log in and add in my two cents worth in regards to Mr. Dickers statement to the press.

Regardless of how he may personally feel (I do not have knowledge of his personal views on this subject at this time), Mr. Dicker must follow the letter of the law, as such, his statement clearly shows that he has not created any bias towards the applicant and that he is once again clearly following the letter of the law. Keep in mind that by staying neutral and watching what he says in public, especially to the press, that any comments ,(should he decide to vote against the applicant), cannot be used as evidence against him. I have known Mr. Dicker for well over 30 years and have always known him to be level headed and honest, as such, I am giving him the benefit of the doubt in this case, as again, it's an issue of law in it's purist form that drives him, and nothing else. I'll go back to lurking now, can't wait to see how our Rockaway forum troll takes this post. Will he attack, will he call me Lisa, or will he try to spin my words into something that they are not which seems to be his MO. I guess time will most certainly tell in his case. Look forward to seeing some of you at the meeting on Monday evening.

Sincerely,

MrBill
