And remember the commandment does not say "Thou shalt not Kill" (as many of you non-denom evangelical fundies out their think!). It says, "Thou shall not commint Murder". Big difference there, friends. Go look it up in the Jewish Scriptures (not the King James Bible!). The First Five books (of Moses) is the source document for this. If anyone wants, they can come over here and take a look in our copy of the Tanakh. The King James is a mis-interpretation of the Hebrew. Craig"
Isn't your G-d known as the "nameless G-d", Craig?
I'm content with being nameless. Funny how a man as "smart" as you can so quickly label someone an idiot just because they disagree with you. You've done this time after time here, Craig, but you speak with no wisdom. I consider it a compliment to be labeled an idiot by you. But I am wondering where the expletives have gone?
As for you reference the commandments and not murder, I completely agree with you. God is not against capital punishment as your Catholic friends like to argue. There is such a thing as "just" killing, which is separate from murder.
And you are correct, the only way to understand much of the OT is by studying the Hebrew, so much is lost in the translation.
Of course, God doesn't approve of just any killing, and it's probably true that in some cases a swear could be justified. But for the reasons and at the rate that you do it? G-d is all for that? You really believe that?
BTW - The only real obscentity that I see going on here on this bbs is the concept of one man trying force his will upon an entire town despite that towns peoples attempt at resistance. The whole idea that one man can insist that another man must serve under the force of law is obscene. That man is Ireland and that town is Rockaway Township.
BTW - It was Rabbi Herson who called me a spiritual person, not I. Why don't you call him up and tell him that he is wrong. His number at the Chabad is 973-625-1525. Call him on the carpet, ok mr. god almighty and really straighten him out.

Why don't you just give me his email address, Craig, it will be a lot easier to refer him to your spiritual comments on this message board that way.

Better pick a verse from the OT there, Monster. I don't think Craig can understand anything in the NT.

Sorry, fella, still not Russ.
I see that since your Rabbi spend's time with you, there is at least one outreach program going on at your Temple. He's certainly got his work cut out for him.
As I said before, Russ/Matthew, we will call you and Ireland when we need spiritual guidance and outreach programs that we can not manage to set up on our own. In the mean time, do not go away mad, just go away!
