Growth leads to increases in crime ...not WHO the people are. The simple fact of more people in a given area will add to crime rates.

I am against CC moving to Rockaway Twp. -but do not think the CC people are 'bad'...simply the number of people will lead to more crime. At the currrent numbers of 5,000 that is 1/4 the # of people living in town... so crime #'s will rise by a percentage equal to the number of additional people.

To say all the people attending CC are "good" and will not add to the crime rate is a stupid as saying all the people at CC are "bad" and will skyrocket the crime rate. Lets be rational please.

ENVIRONMENT, Taxes, Traffic, demands on infrastructure...Voices has been useing this tag line since I first learned of the application in September... they had it right then and it is still right today!

Nice job of taking my statements out of context, joining them together, and somehow making them appear related to one another.

As you're WELL aware:

1. The "trash" statement was in response to someone who said their white trash neighbors were a nightmare to live near.

2. The "influence" statement was in response to someone asking what CC's members' communities are like--because it's my belief that people treat towns they visit almost as well as the towns they live in.

At no point did I say:

CC Members = Trash = I don't want them here

In fact, I said "I know nothing about CC members".

Wow Genius, that must pretty much wrap it up then huh? How's this for sharing: My wife and I personally know 7 lawyers making up 6 different households who go to CC and live in or around Montclair (but amazingly not in any of the towns you mentioned!) who all disagree with everything your mystery couple who does not attend CC says, and in fact dismissed that characterization as patently absurd. Though I would love to see the demographics report that your friends had published regarding the attendence. Where can I get a copy of that professional journal they were published in?

How's that for sharing?

BTW -

My wife and my own HOW do not have the following:

1. Prisoner Rehabilitation Ministries

2. Drug Rehab Ministries.

The implications of these ministries is real clear to most of us. The are a good thing for those that need them in the inner cities. Out here in the sticks, we do not need or want them.

Don't leave with the feeling that you will be missed, Christ Church!

Obviously, they didn't teach you the real implications of these ministries in your Genius 101 class, so I'll have to spell it out for you.

Churches that have progams such as those don't have them so they can rehabilitate their members, Craig, as you seem to believe. Is that view a representation of your Temple? Do they have outreach programs? You certainly have a big problem with a group like CC who does care about other people.
