Song of the Day

Since Bystander enjoys 4th grade English so much, I am starting another fund thread for her.  It is called "The Song of the Day"

Todays Song:

Me and My Teddy Bear,

Have no Worries, Have no Cares,

Just Me and My Teddy Bear,

We Play, and Play all Day.

You are welcome, Bystander, no need to thank me for providing you with that.  I am certain that you will not only enjoy this little diddy, but learn from it too.

Have Fun!

                         FLY IN THE OINTMENT

YES I AM...THE NIGHTMARE MAN...
I'M DOING TIME...
IN BEDSITTER LAND.
WHERE MONEY IS FRIENDS..
AND FRIENDS MY MAN...
YEAH! TAP YOUR FEET
TAP THE PHONE...
DOG AND BONE!!
I SEE TWO WHO ARE BLUE,
COMING AFTER YOU.
I SAW THREE IN GREEN,
TWO ARE BOYS........
ONE'S A QUEEN!
I SAW ONE DRESSED IN RED...
MUCH TOO LATE...
COS, I WOZ DEAD!
Wot do you want?
An all over tan?
A bunch of flowers?
Or a WELL HUNG man ????

Looking out of the window...
Sitting on a train.

I'M JUST A FLY in the OINTMENT
I'M JUST A FLY IN the OINTMENT
I'M JUST A FLY...FLY...FLY...FLY...FLY...
FLY...FLY...FLY...FLY...FLY IN THE OINTMENT

FLY...FLY...FLY...FLY...FLY IN THE OINTMENT
I'M JUST A FLY IN THE OINTMENT
FLY

As long as I dont lose my status as monster in good standing....

God knows you ain't pretty,
God knows it's true.
God knows there ain't anybody
Ever gonna take the place of you.

God knows it's a struggle,
God knows it's a crime,
God knows there's gonna be no more water
But fire next time.

Bridge #1:
God didn't call it treason,
God didn't call it wrong,
It was supposed to last a season
But it's been so strong for so long.

God knows it's fragile,
God knows everything,
God knows it could snap apart right now
Just like putting scissors to a string.

Bridge #2:
God knows it's terrifying,
God sees it all unfold,
There's a million reasons for you to be crying

You been so bold and so cold.

God knows that when you see it,
God knows you've got to weep,
God knows the secrets of your heart,
He'll tell them to you when you're asleep.

God knows there's a river,
God knows how to make it flow,
God knows you ain't gonna be taking
Nothing with you when you go.

God knows there's a purpose,
God knows there's a chance,
God knows you can rise above the darkest hour
Of any circumstance.

God knows there's a heaven,
God knows it's out of sight,
God knows we can get all the way from here to there
Even if we've got to walk a million miles by candlelight.

Who knows this one (givaway hint at the end):

Some things in life are bad,

They can really make you mad,
Other things just make you swear and curse,
When you're chewing your life's gristle
Don't grumble, give a whistle,
And this'll help things turn out for the best,
And.....
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the light side of life.
[whistling]
If life seems jolly rotten,
There's something you've forgotten,
And that's to laugh and smile and dance and sing.
When you're feeling in the dumps,
Don't be silly chumps.
Just purse your lips and whistle. That's the thing.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the right side of life,
[whistling]
For life is quite absurd
And death's the final word.
You must always face the curtain with a bow.
Forget about your sin.
Give the audience a grin.
Enjoy it. It's your last chance, anyhow.
So,...
Always look on the bright side of death,
[whistling]
Just before you draw your terminal breath.
[whistling]
Life's a piece of ****,
When you look at it.
Life's a laugh and death's a joke. It's true.
You'll see it's all a show.
Keep 'em laughing as you go.
Just remember that the last laugh is on you.
And...
Always look on the bright side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the right side of life.
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]
Always look on the bright side of life!
[whistling]

Great song...great movie (especially the alien chase scene and the scene where Brian tries to tell his followers that they are all different)...Very 'on topic'.

Monty Python ROCKS!  Brings back some good memories of our trip to Florida last year as that is one of the movies we watched/listened to in the car on our way down south.

(whistling The Bright Side of Life) - THANKS !!

Bob Dylan's cool ... I'm a Simon & Garfunkel fan myself.  Their recent concert in New York City was absolutely unforgettable!  There are too many S&G favorites to list them all but my top three have to be: Sounds of Silence, I Am A Rock, and The Boxer.

60's folk music - Peter, Paul & Mary; Pete Seeger; Arlo Guthrie; Joni Mitchell and on and on and on ...  Best songs and music ever, in my opinion.

Thanks!

-B

Bystander -

Speaking of Monty P.  - - - cc instills an emotion evoked in one of that series of creative arts.  In the "Meaning of Life",  - - - whenever I think of cc and its leadership, I recall the end of the scene of Mr. Creossote in the fancy resturant - - -  Projectiled as follows:

Uaaaaagggggplaaaaahhhhhhhhsplloshgaaah  - - - I think that I am bleeding all over the place!
