Contrary to the myth raised repeatedly on this board, RT Planner lets it be known at tonight's meeting that instead of 14 HoWs in RT, there are only 9.
Shouldn't local residents of a community determine whether a new House of Worship (or "Church") should be built in their neighborhood, city or town? In today's world, why would anyone spend over ten million $ to build a "Mega House of Worship" (or "Mega Any Organization") in a location many miles from where most members of that religion live (or even have any interest in attending or joining a different kind of "Church" or House of Worship) without first exploring how convenient will it be for most people to get there in no more than say 20 or 25 minutes?
Sorry, just want to nip the crys of bigot and racist that will come from cc congregants. The second step is stated in your facts and myths section under " christ churchs economic benefits to Rockaway. Goodnight.
Ah, but will the church members want to move to RT when they see the congestion, the ruination of our environment and the sky rocketing taxes if the church is built?
Oh you bet, have you had the pleasure of spending any time in Essex County lately? I just finished a project there, Frankly it sucks. Remember all churchs are supported by their congregants, book and t-shirt sales, and indulgences. So why not move to one of the TOP TEN WEALTHIEST COUNTYS IN THE USA. Silly, but as the detectives say, FOLLOW THE MONEY.
Well if it sucks why are they still there? It takes a church move for them to leave? Or is it that they can't afford it? Then they certainly won't be able to afford Morris County! Especially not RT with the burden CC will put on the town.
Does our town have its fair share of Mt Laurel housing? Maybe Dr. Ireland will be helping us out with that problem as his next phase of operations somewhere in the township.
Mnt. Laurel, smaruel. There are 125 homes for sale today in Rockaway. Fund raising for Jesus will provide. How many more homes will come on the market if the church moves here is any ones guess. Then just convert them to rentals. Wow demographic manipulation for power, fun and profit. All in the name of Jesus.
Yep, I'm just jealous. living under a bed is hard on the back and doesn't pay much.
I remember hearing about Christ Church being involved in a large national grant program for people to afford to buy a house. Allegedly it's not applicable if they move here (whether it's location-limited or time-limited I don't recall.)
For the life of me I can't remember what the grant was specifically...
It's great that he helps people who can't afford to buy a house, to be able to do so, isn't it? Just another benefit to the community I reckon.
Check out gsmls.com. Click on "Search for Properties" and then Morris/then Rockaway Township.
I searched homes over the widest price span running from 125 K to 2 Meg. There are 126 properties for sale. That is the highest number in Morris County, despite our relatively small population compared to some of the surrounding communities.
But, I am sure that it has nothing to do with a Megachurch trying to take over our town. Naahh! That would be paranoia. (Remember, when someone is out to get you and you know it for a fact, that is not paranoia, it is "facing reality").
As I have been recommending to everyone here in RT, go have a real estate agent evaluate the value of your home. It will cost you nothing - - - just a little bit of time. You will be very unpleasantly surprised. And do not give me any noise about it until YOU have run the experiment. My wife and I have. There goes our retirment fund down the drain since we own this joint outright.
