Folks,


The questions posted below were very tough to answer.  It took a 6 member committee and several brainstorming sessions for us here at the PR firm to come up with acceptable answers.  NOT!

I did notice until now that you where continuing to question my statement and ethics....

I noticed you wrote:

You assume that because you see a couple of autos parked somewhere there is a great conspiracy, and that something underhanded is being done....

Usually it's the people who do not trust that one should be wary of...because they are the ones with guilty consciences.

Well, since it seems you would like to play head games, ask leading questions and pose arguments meant to incite hate....since you answer questions with questions at will....I will now placate you along the same respect you and the supporters of CC's move utilize....

Here is my question, since you question my ethics, how do you feel about the ethics being used to sway public opinion by lying, making false accusations and statements on this board and NJ.com???Any lies anywhere are uncalled for and I denounce them. I don't waste time on NJ.com's forum, I've had many posts deleted there as well. But if lies are being posted by either side, it is despicable.

How do you feel about the many posts that were deleted on NJ.com?? Posts that where non-incendiary, direct questions or statements with nothing controversial or hateful in them, being deleted???


As I mentioned, I had posts deleted from there as well. I found the moderation of that board to be very inconsistent. Are you saying there are idiots running that board? I wouldn't disagree with that.

Do you believe that not being forthright in your membership growth plans is deceitful and OK to do??


No, not at all. I don't believe most churches have growth plans. If I am wrong please direct me to specific churches that do. It appears to me that David Ireland preaches the Gospel and the number of people who sign on as members is a result of how many share his vision and want to be a part of that. Does Ireland have control over the number of people who make that decision? I don't believe he does, thus how can he control how much his membership will grow?

Do you think its ethical to bait others and cause them frustration?? Then once they vent their feelings you run to the newspapers and say Lookee here???


There are two assumptions in your question. First, that "baiting" occurs. That would imply that the intent was to pull someone into a "trap" that would cause them harm. There is no evidence of that. I don't think that the reactions of anyone on this board are that predictable, so who can say how they would react to any issues raised. And you seem to be saying that those who post here aren't responsible for their posts if they were "baited". I believe all those involved are adults. They are responsible for what they say. The second assumption is that anyone ran to the newspapers. I can't say that no one did that, but I surely didn't. I have heard that these forums are all monitored by the press. All who post here should expect that.


Do you feel it OK to question another person’s religion???


Yes. Just like it's OK for anyone to question mine. If someone says, "I prefer not to talk about that" then it is best to drop the subject. But that didn't happen here. Many people were eager to engage in debate on this issue.


 


Do you feel it's OK to say that they won't be good enough to have the same afterlife as you, inciuating they are not good people... because they may not put their faith in who you think is the creator??


Again, this question has some assumptions that I don't agree with. I never said anyone wasn't "good enough" to get into Heaven. I am definitely not good enough to get into Heaven. While on this earth, I never will be. That is the point. I stated the belief that no of us are good enough to get into Heaven. That's why a loving Creator such as ours provided a Savior to cover our sins so that any who accept this gift of grace will be with Him. And I never said anyone wasn't a good person. I would guess that most on this board are "better people" than I.

Do you think it ethical to brand an entire town as red necks, racists, bigots or any other label, just because many residents aren't embracing your dream??


If anyone has said that all the residents of Rockaway Township are those things, they are of course wrong. Who has done that?




Do you feel that this an ethical way to pursue your desires?


My desire is that the law is followed.

We might as well face it. Vort has made the planning boards job much tougher, with all the bad press.


We must forget that and keep supporting the planning board. Nothing can fix the past. What vort and craig have done is in the past. Now we must move foward with Marci and figure the best way to win this.

The planning board knows all the harm they have done to the town. If CC thinks they can bully the planning board to stop a environmental nightmare and raise are taxes due to a loss of 630K they are way off base. A school would take years to build but may be a reasonable option for the land - however a new corp. resident may be nice too.

2130. MAIN...STREAM thinking

I guess the best reason to be against CC is that this development will destroy the land, pave over 20 acres of land (you know the rest...).A school for the town would also be good for the land. Most think a company would be a good choice because New environmental regulations at State and Federal levels mandate the protection of the land. While the town may have missed an oppurtunity to purchase the land...the reason has been eliminated - we now have a new Superintendant who will not drop the ball.


NO one believes they just are interested in the land to block the church. It is perfectly legal to build a school now it is worth trying. It is clear CC is looking for some sort of compromise as the attacks have hightened they know they are in danger of an all out loss. So this may never even get to court CC will see the light and pack up and find a suitable location.



 




 



 




 



2116. REASON FOR CC OR AGAINST

I guess the best reason to before CC is that a church will help protect the land.A school for the town would also be good for the land.Most think a company would not be a good choice because the last one dumped on the land. The problem is the town had firdst shot at building a school and buying the land and passed on it. Now some think they just are interested in the land to block the church. Even if it might not be legal to build a school now it is worth trying. It has been writen many places that a compromise might be coming. So this may never even get to court.

I think you got some of those out of order...but basically I believe the point is that the ones supporting the church and making ridiculous accusations against RT and VORT remain. The ones opposing the church are deleted.
