How are your taxes???? If you think they are high, I would support you in your efforts to reduce them, if you have constructive ideas and evidence that your ideas would work. Do you care if the town looses 600,000 a year???? Do you think the police service will volunteer to serve CC????

Don't bring in the other new ratables we are may be getting....you don't get a raise from your company and say thanks for upping my insurance premiums.

Do you help out the emergency or fire depts. that will need to serve the influx of non residents, non contributing, to the town, visitors??? Have you spoken to any of them and heard them say they oppose this?? I have.

First of all, the Salberg's and Jenkin's have already proven themseves to be frauds. They admited insider knowledge.

No, not really since traffic studies show little impact do to the church.

Entering Green Pond from Sanders Rd, at rush hour has been a problem for the past 15 years and will will not be effected by Sunday morning church traffic.

If I believe the generally accepted calculations put forward here, it will cost me $66 dollars per year to allow the church. If I build a school, it will cost about $200 dollars....Hmmm which should I choose??? (keeping in mind that we don't need a school).

It's not clear to me that RT will lose that much. My research indicates only the portion of the land dedicated to worship is tax exempt

You have misread what I said though...the word "volunteer" meaning, "donate" their time to working the CC events. See, the increase in police needed to work due to CC's move here, and their overtime will be paid by you...and I, and the rest of the residents...

I know you were at the meetings, and you heard Ireland's attitude about paying for things...do you honestly believe he'll offer to pay or the police service?

And while the volunteers in the town would not have a problem helping anyone...their burden will vastly increase.

This is a 7 day a week organization...and the school traffic alone, is a drop off and pick up situation, that means two, two way trips per auto.

And....our citizens travel u Green Pond 7 days a week (Sundays included)

wow...that's a pretty strong accusation...Please share your hard evidence to with us-I would like to understand the wrong doing (other than posts on this bulletin board that allude to knowledge of something).

See, we all knew Marci was getting involved...I had e-mail conversations, which I shared here, also, and the information was in the papers...so it was common knowledge of her involvement.

Just because details were or were not known by some before others is the nature of business...I don't feel left out or threatened by not being immediately informed...neither should you.

tED - I have yet to see one single VORT member on the corner of Meridan and Green Pond Road with a tin can begging for money. People who give them money do so freely. It's OUR choice. I know it upsets you that VORT has more support than you ever received, but that's life.

I do not see how you thing VORT is being 'used' by crooked politicians (now there's an oxymoron for you). VORT has stated their goals. The vast majority of Rockaway Township citizens support the goals of VORT. The town council members support their constiuents. Look ass hole, I do recall seeing the "unedited version" and all I saw regarding race was that they have only a couple people in their leadership who were white, and that a "diverse" church should have more diversity in their leadership, or something like that. I don't remember the exact quote.

But I also don't believe it was put as a "racist" statement, just an observation. Especially for a church planning to move into this area, which, as they so pointedly mention, is "mostly white."

But...luckily the church has put lots of white people in the new pictures on their website so it looks a lot more diverse now.
