Something is Brewing at the DR and it is not specifically the printing of my letter to the editor. I have been called by TWO reporters today regarding this fiasco. I wonder what is in store next.
Karen, maybe it would be wise for us to delete my posting of an Open Letter to the Jews of RT. It is causing all of us in RT too much trouble and I apologize for this grief that I have caused everyone. I actually deluded myself into thinking that I was the insulted party in those religious discussions. Spin is an amazing thing and it definitely works. I had no idea!!!
Crap, I don't know--I really feel like that would be spun like some kind of admission of some kind of guilt, when in actuality you were just speaking freely, for cripe's sake!
I understand your point. I just do not know what is the best thing to do at this point. Seems like they are not going to let go of this even though I represent no one but myself. My opinions are a minority opinion of one person. Let's see what the DR does tomorrow and then we can chat about it again.
I have spoken with one of the Rabbis at our congregation and he too has been confronted by the DR. So, I think that it is reasonable to assume that something is going to be printed again on the "religion" subject shortly. Probably tomorrow. Getting old and very boring.
