The circus really has come to town

http://www.dailyrecord.com/article/20120813/NJNEWS/308130009/Church-experiences-growing-pains

"The Tri-County Fair, set for Thursday to Saturday, almost didnt happen because of a clause in the churchs 2007 site-plan approval restricting outdoor events to sporting events or quiet prayers."

Jokes on us Rockaway residents - this charlatan got his foot in the door and just as predicted is violating any agreements/clauses the pious rev agreed to. Is anyone surprised..??

The worst part is our towns elected officials rolling over for this liar - but he will still have to answer to a higher authority one day.

It's the classic example of the American double standard. Had it been a Roman Catholic church trying to run a "Tri - Ring Circus" (or whatever the hell he called it) it would have been shut down good and proper and there would have been no legal recourse for that church.

But the rules do not apply to this clown - - -

Interesting followup article in today's Neighbor News. Seems that the town did have a little more backbone than we gave them credit for and they questioned the use, then capitulated in the end, taking the higher road. Rev BigBucks immediately went to court and brought the lawyers in. Now there's a surprise. I guess all that we can hope for is that the circus will get tired of trying to sneak stuff by us and eventually give up and move on. The article did mention that they havent begun building anything yet, but no mention as to why. I didnt see any huge crowds at their "fair". Maybe they will finally realize that even though we cant force them out, we still dont need them here and still dont want them here. I was always held the mindset that if someone didnt want me around, then I didnt want to be around, but I guess others dont share that feeling. C.

Hey Chuck - I read that follow up too - looks like the 1st annual (and last if common sense and laws mean anything) "tri-county-fair" was a flop as a mega-$$$$ revenue generator...lmao.

And the fact that this clown ran as fast as he to his lawyers yet again is all the proof I will ever need to convince even the biggest skeptic that this has always been about the mega-$$$$ and not our community...period.
