From what I just read, sounds like cc is a done deal. The traffic issues seem to be for us to deal with. The county will widen the road. No mention of the environment or the Highlands Bill. Dicker sees the light. What the hell is this? I wasn't at the last meeting and I didn't hear any of this before. So we just lay down and let them have what they want? Ruin our environment, clog our streets with traffic? Our planning board just agrees? What happend to Ms Hamilton? I don't believe this. I guess I have to say Rat was right. I believed in our town.
Yeah, I had much the same feeling after reading the article today, Thinker. What is more troubling is that Cindy Forest always has a pretty accurate take on things. Although Dicker was quoted as seeing the light at the end of the tunnel, there really wasnt any indication of the boards approval or agreement with the plans, just that it was nearing the end. The article also detailed the TWO traffic lights being planned and the county widening the road south of there. Both things that I object to. CC has apparently been having side meetings with Dimin and the board. Who knows who sold what farm during those sessions.

Light at the end of the tunnel my @ss! This thing is far from over. Dicker was just trying to act objectively. This is not the first time he said something stupid and surely wont be the last. The only words that matter are: "Proposal Denied"
