ERRLURPER-this topic for Wendy's mispronunciations

We take a time out for a lighter moment......

Did anyone else chuckle during Wendy's mispronunciation, and tripping over "RLUIPA" last night???

I know it's lo-brow, but to me....it was funny.

ERRRLOOOPER

Like nails on a chalk board...her voice whines.

Ok...now go back to your serious topics.

Oh...lets not forget...Roses, dinosaurs and lizards..a senior moment???

All in fun folks!

Mr. Preiss' pronounciation is pretty entertaining too: "arr-loo-pa"

Although I have the feeling it's intentional as opposed to the "fluster factor" at work as it is with wendy.

And the very ending of the meeting was interesting as well--wendy sputtering around trying to put our other guy up (although he was unprepared) to use the leftover time.

Dimin(?) says, "NO! Now let's get out of here."

(Obviously paraphrased...)

Err looper is a great name for the law since:

1. It was made in error (Err)

2. It creates a huge number of loopholes (Looper) like the one that I have been suggesting that everyone can become a church.

So, I gotta give it to Wendy, she is pretty damn sharp with her Freudian slips.

The funniest part was when she said Rearlooper and Priess didn't understand what she said.........then corrected her.

RLUIPA

It's an "Acronym" folks.  I know "Acronym" might be a big word for some here, but it simply means an abbreviated way of saying something with several words.  So any pronounciation is valid.  Meaning, it ain't in the dictionary and there's no "approved"  way of saying it.

The CORRECT way to say it is "Religious Land Use and Institutionalized Persons Act of 2000".

If you choose to abbreviate it, you're on your own.

That anyone here would even bother to point out the pronunciations of it is revealing that they don't have much else to say.

And anybody with so much time on their hands as to find it worthwhile to correct such "silly" behavior must definitely be sitting around on disability or something.

AND we're just having a little fun. Ever have fun? It's silly, a waste of time, sure. But it's one of the things that makes life worth living--fun, levity. Dolt.

Following your leader, The Genius, Mark?  You did add a new twist though - you turned a four letter word into a three letter word!

You need to aim higher.

Ok...and right about now you'll call me a lemming again or assign me a nickname, right??

Or perhaps you'll just keep going on this thread to have the last word.

All because we're having some fun observing human quirks.

Don't be a jerk.
