One of the prior posts mentioned already approved projects in the Green Pond area. Does anyone know if there is any hope that sewer lines could be extended on Green Pond Road north of Meridan? The Hibernia and Telemark areas could really use them.
I really, really doubt that there will be any residual RT sewer capacity for you folks north of Meriden if cc comes to town with 25,000 ultimate members. Sorry, but that will be the way that it will be. I would be willing to bet the ranch on that one.

Major development is the best chance for extending the sewer lines north of Meriden. Without a major developmen, the town would have to shoulder the entire cost.
Over the past 20 or so years, there has been several development attempts by builders (golf courses, large housing devlopments, etc. When I ran for mayor a developer told me he once dreamed of building corporate campuses along rte 513 and he would have built sewer lines as well) but all attempts met strong resitence from north end residents and were defeated.
At this point however there may be sewage treatment capacity limitations. I remember some articals were written about it a few yrs ago. And a few town council meetings were held on the subject as well. Former Mayor Norm Hendricson (sp?) was in charge of the sewer authority at that time.

The hypocricy is obvious. No need to deny it. Hey if you can get away with it more power to you, right? Who wouldn't want to move to a more sparsley populated area that nevertheless had every amenity of the more populated areas! Essentially a town-sized country club. Good deal!
