Just visited the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA) to see if CC is there yet. Looked under Christ Church NJ, Christ Church Montclair, and David Ireland. Go figure no matches.
Billy Grahm set up this group in 1979 to disclose financial integrity on the part of Evangelical Institutions. There are 1,182 members to date. But not Ireland. Wonder why he still will not disclose his financials????
They may both be evangelical, but I know of no relationship. Unless of course they may have both had members on Pat Robertson's assasination committee.
..."The Church’s beliefs are identical to those of Rev. Billy Graham, the internationally known minister.
In fact, Rev. David Ireland, Ph.D., Christ Church’s senior pastor, recently served on a 30-member ministerial committee organized by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association...."
See, I should think he'd be anxious to conform to whatever standards Billy Graham deems appropriate, to make sure there's no question about the church's financial integrity...
"In fact, Rev. David Ireland, Ph.D., Christ Church’s senior pastor, recently served on a 30-member ministerial committee organized by the Billy Graham Evangelistic Association...."
Billy Graham Evangelistic association is so big they probably have thousands of these 30-member committee's. Just more spin from the PR firm.
