Just as we have seen in the past, the Christ Church spin machine stays quiet for a while, and then comes up with a thought. Their latest 'logic':
Lisa Proclaims - "Christ Church should move to Greystone"
Greystone is less accessible than 140 Green Pond Road.
Therefore Lisa admits 140 Green Pond Road is a viable site.
Obviously their logic is flawed, as has been the logic on every other 'fact' their spin machine attempts to push.
Obvioulsy, many sites have been discussed as alternatives.
Obviously Lisa and VORT have not done studies of other sites for suitability (It wouldn't be their task to do so).
Keep refuting the CC spinmeisters with facts:
Christ Church is too big for 140 Green Pond Rd. - The traffic will put a substantial burden on township residents.
The environmental impact is too great on the sensitive area. People wells are drawn from water supplied by the C-1 streams running through 140 Green Pond Road.
Any other sites mentioned are mentioned as possible alternatives, not as the 'gospel according to VORT!' It's up to Christ Church to find another site that IS suitable for them.
If Greystone is not viable - fine. Find another place. Nobody from VORT is demanding you go to Greystone (although I can think of a few who could use a long-term visit there).
1. The application complies with all environmental laws, so there will be no environmental impact.
2. The only traffic analysis made public states that the church will not overburden the roads. (and this is before the road improvements that will surely come regardless of whether CC moves into the Agilent site)

I suggest you get to townhall and look at the reports, there is a very LARGE environmental impact. I would further suggest you review the traffic reports, they state clearly that there are significant problems with the roads ALREADY.
I am amazed at the spin you few are attemting to create. I would suggest you seek a new path as the one you are on is a dead end. The residents of Rockaway know this plan is too large for the town and will work TOGETHER to protect our land, air, water and roadways.

A serious question. If there are sigficant environmental impacts, why is the PB wasting time with the small stuff? Are you suggesting that the PB has nothing better to do?
How about I suggest YOU have nothing better to do than make suggestions and insinuations about others and when someone calls you on it, accuse THEM of the suggestion.

Anyway Lisa, back to my question. I've been to many PB hearings in the past and I find they get to the heart of the matter quickly. If the environment is the big issue why arn't we there yet?
Based upon the postings of Mr. Ted Doty, his lies, his anger and his inability to speak to others without resorting to name calling and based on the fact he has not EVER clearly answer one question he has been asked, I will not respond to his question above or any other from him.
It is clear to me that he is not open to discuss anything. If someone has an opinion that is not his opinion then he will call you a liar and call you names. He has acted childish, nasty and based on todays actions outright evil.
If the rest of you choose to continue to argue with this person go for it.
Others who think the application for the redevelopent 140 Green Pond Rd. is a good idea, I will be happy to continue a discussion as to where we differ in our opinions.
