Does anyone know what happened on Meridan Ave today? I was working in my garden around noon or so and heard emergency vehicles heading off of Green Pond Road and down Meridan.
It made me think.......what if my family was in a life threatning situation and the "church" was letting out at that time.
Good question. Hopefully it is the PB's issue to deal with and hopefully they will take that factor into consideration in their determination on the application.
It was Dimmen that gave the answer that it is not irelands problem. Sometimes I really question his competitence to deal with this situation. Who's side is that guy on?
As I recall, the question involved the impact that the church would have on emergency services in town. Dimin stated that it is not irelands problem to address that. It is up to RT to address that. At least that is my take on it, but it was over a year ago that this took place. My memory may not be serving me well; who knows. In other words, if the existing emergency services in RT become inadequate, it is not up to ireland to correct the problem, it is on the back os the RT taxpayer to do so even if he cause the problem.
I agree that Dimin does not come off as the sharpest tool in the shed, however, I believe he is correct. If a business gets planning board approval for a project (and this is a business), any effect they have on public roads is the town/county/state's responsibility to address. This is why they must not get in. Even they claim to scale back to 1000 seats.....they will grow.
Open note to the Planning Board:
Send them packing tonight. The roads can't handle the traffic. ...Period. ....Thank You...now go home....move on to plan B.....what?, see you in court, yeah whatever.....
