Considering that "Tony" is now part of a legal proceeding (plus his posts ARE lies and contribute nothing to the church discussion) and we don't have the time to go to court, we'll now be banning Tony's IP addresses.
As you know, that's not what this board was put here for we're quite dedicated to free speech--however, we're not going to be part of a lawsuit.
You have a pretty ignorant view of First Amendment Rights if you think someone has the right to to openly lie with willfull malice and intent for the sole purpose of personally, and economically damaging someone.
All those retorts notwithstanding, considering the "free speech" emphasis of how this forum has been promoted, both here and in frequent postings in another forum vowing that posts here would not be deleted, I think expectations may be been established that lead to outrageous posts on both sides of the issue on this "free speech" forum.
I would suggest that anyone pursued through the courts as a result of postings on this forum takes note of that in their legal response.

One poster who refused to stop posting lies is now blocked. I can't wait until the lawsuit against him goes public so we all get to find out who it is.
