This began on a thread that has now moved off the front page. I thought you all would find Teds thoughts interesting so I have posted them again here.

First I need to get a better understanding of what documents you have read so that I can ask you direct and pointed question that you will be able to respond to.
Have you reviewed the following items:
RTWP Master Plan, zoning ord. book, site plan submitted by Christ Church, environmental report submitted by CC, traffic study submitted by CC, all documents submitted to the planning board by CC, documents submitted to the planning board from the RTWP environmental committee, Rockaway watershed, and other entities.
Related items: traffic studies from other project on Green Pond Rd over the past 5 years, new programs/regulations pending or enacted to protect water in NJ and related materials, demographics and urban sprawl data available from the state.
Please let me know which of these documents you have reviewed and then provide factual support as to why you claim CC is right for this location.

Ted, in short you are so far off base you need to get directions to the field. Please provide me with specific information as to why you feel this is a good plan for Rockaway Twp. Your comments regarding alternatives do not merit a response as we are not in a position to suggest any other entities, as they do not exist. We can only evaluate the plan in hand, which is full of concerns based on its magnitude, scope and size. Please cite specifically why you think this is a good plan.
Further – a “do-gooder”, by definition is a good thing, otherwise it would be called a “do-badder”.
Lisa, I've looked at some of the reports youve mentioned. Not all of them nor to the extent you to have studied them.From what I've seen however, they don't adress the alternatives. And surely you're sharp enough to realize that if the church build at Agilent, Something else will. I think you need to look at the alternatives instead of just being negative about CC

Why is Christ Church good for Rockaway Twp.? This is the question I would love to hear you views on, please tell us all why it is good. What are we missing? Based on all of the data, based on your view, WHY is it GOOD for Rockaway Twp.?
You are still at it. You really need to get some help. Do you not see what you are doing? Your answers/posts are just mindless. They are the ramblings of a bitter sore loser. Well, I guess that is why they are coming out of your mouth. I have heard much about you around town, that I just could not believe that someone would act that way. Well, you proved me wrong and the residents of Rockaway correct. It really doesn't matter what others have to say. If they don't share your views, thoughts, and/or opinions, you send out the attack dogs. Or in your case, your mouth. I think that VORT has opened the eyes of the residents of Rockaway. I think those 4 people had the courage, smarts and abilities to get the town involved. And that just drives you nuts! You know that you could never get this town or any other town to listen to the facts that you would present. You don't have that much respect in this town. You just wish you did. I actually feel bad for you. To go through life with such a miserable attitude. So very sad. You also stated in your post that it takes “human intelligence”, how would you know what that is?
Oh and by the way, Do you ever answer a question? You didn't answer mine. And it doesn't look like you going to answer Lisa's either.

I did not ask you about alternatives, as there are no alternatives to concider, simply the application that is under concideration today.
Yesterday I asked you in a posting "please tell uss why CC is good for Rockaway" - however you did not respond to that question. Could you please answer that question now.

I've clearly and as simply as anyone can, answered the questions. I've also stated my view, clearly and simply.
It IS ALL about alternatives. Suppose you're successful in defeating the church? What's gonna go there instead. Do you think Agilent will let it stay empty and continue to pay taxes? Isn't another comercial concern going to clog traffic? A school will raise taxes and clogg traffic, won't it?
BTW there is no statistical evidence that a school is needed. I'm sure we'll disagree on that but that's where the argument is now.
Unless the alternatives are something in the nature of a county landfill or nuclear waste depository practically any alternative is clearly better than the megachurch. Why do you fail to appreciate this when it is obvious to practically everyone else?
Ted, I'm clueless and even I understand the question.
Similar to a question I asked a long time ago - "What are the true benefits Christ Church would bring to this township?" - which was never answered either.
Looks like it's being rephrased for you to help you understand:
1. ...why you claim CC is right for this location.
2. ...Please cite specifically why you think this is a good plan.
3. ...Why is Christ Church good for Rockaway Twp.?
4. ...WHY is THIS application GOOD for Rockaway Twp.?

Consideration of the CC application for the Agilent site (and it IS the Agilent site since they own it) can't be considered in a vacum. FACT IS something will happen Which alternative is best?
stop bickering. Ted thinks that the CC application is the best alternative for the Agilent site b/c in his opinion the impact on RT is lowest if the site is used by CC, as opposed to potential alternate uses such as a new corporation or a school.
The altered question, regarding "how is it GOOD for RT," is still answered, Ted may not think it is "good," just "least bad." (Ted if I am incorrect in my interpretation feel free to correct.)

Everyone even VORT has the right to be involved. Involvment in your community shows that myself and other care about what happens here... Do you? The way you make statements and write I believe that you would perfer to live in a town that only includes you. and that is ashame. Why don't you rethink about Rockaway Township and look for the good in it. No one is conspiring against you or doing anything just becuase.
I heard you say last night , that you did not get a chance to let your voice be heard at the committee meetings, You were only a part of the audience there, not part of the committees. You observed and then last night you got to ask questions. Although you may not agree with the findings, are you the xpert? No, that is why the BOE hired a firm that was an expert.
Now, we will let the process go forward and wait until the next meeting to hear about that.
