It has been argued that CC will provide no benefit to the comunity. Well they are in fact hosting a family event this very day in Morris County where they are showing a popular family movie which is free to anyone who has signed up to go.
I have talked to many people in Morris county who are taking advantage of this great opportunity who will be there for an afternoon of fun with their kids. This is just one example that easily negates the "no benefit to the community" argument. And of course, when CC moves in to the Agilent location, there will be many more benefits.

I wouldn't call it an olive branch, that's what a lot of churches do, they host events that give to the community. I've seen the bigger evangelical type churches do this often.
Come on now...lets revisit that "olive branch" issue. I for one see that as Ireland tossing us an olive attached to a string. As if he were "fishing"...we did not take the bait.
As of close of business Friday no new plans have been submitted by CC to the Rockaway Twp. Planning Dept. IE no true reduction in classrooms simply an attempt to see if we would take the bait.
Also lets look at the fool Russ Jones and his article claiming the sq footage of the plan was 200K - IT IS 400+K has he not looked at the plans - they are available at town hall.
The more I think of it the more I like to Fish angle... Russ is a little ole cat fish trolling the lakes bottom for some food. He took Irelands bait - I hope he gags on it!
Never heard of the radio station but just looked it up; they're in Zarephath, NJ.
Well, yes, it's nice to show a movie.
Again, thanks Christ Church--

I think there are quite a few Jewish families in Morris County that would really like this movie. Why is there always the assumption that Jews aren't Christians? The original Christians, the first 12, they were all Jews as far as I can remember. In fact, I think even Jesus was a Jew wasn't he?
I personally know many Jews who know Jesus is the Messiah.
And there is a group out there who have plenty of info about this if you're interested:

Tell me why this was deleted, and the original one as well. I didn't copy the first one because I couldn't imagine a reason to delete it...

Welcome to our board....Now you and your church...would you kindly pack your bags and leave? You are just not wanted, and as the Rev stated, he would not go where he is not wanted.
He knows he's not wanted...hence the poilice escort just to take a leak at the last meeting. Grandstanding or fear??? either way...wrong. He's a poor imitator of PT Barnum.
We know what veggetales stand for.
We are not hicks, we know what a Jew For Jesus is, and for those of us who are Jewish, we think they are hiipocrites, and are offended by thier representation of being Jewish. No angerin the statement, just differences in a definition.
This however is not a forun for religious debate, so I'll leave my personal thoughts aside on that issue.
What outrages me is that this showing of a movie is seen as a great thing...an "Olive Branch".
Thanks, but no damn thanks.
By the way, our public schools do the same thing, and they don't ask for a spiritual donation....they are non-sectarian movies.
Don't divide our town.
Don't ask us to finacilly support your country club, and festival grounds.
Agreed--kick whomever you want off your property and we can protest the wallet bit, I was just saying that anyone can post here (in response to "welcome to our board--now get out").
I was at the Veggie Tale movie in Morristown today. What a wonderful event that CC hosted. No hidden agenda in that movie, sorry. Just a very creative way to explain the Easter story to kids. I didn't see any surprised parents in the packed theatre. They all knew what it was all about, and everyone had a great time.
All of you here speaking negatively about this gracious outreach by CC have no clue what you're talking about. The anger and venom that you spew fully reveals where you are coming from. In reality it is so sad that you are so lost that you have to attack CC for doing simply what all Christian churches are called to do.
And thanks Karen for your level headed responses, seriously.
