I am just amazed at how quickly those on the CC side of the fence quickly play the "R" card but quickly blame RT. It's so childish. Reading all of the threads, I also find it interesting at the insinuation that the people of RT "started it."
Hummm... Seems hard for me to believe that someone would label themselves as an racist unless accused by someone else. And in this isn't that someone CC?
Let's not lose sight of the facts here. If, as the good rev has stated, would not want to go where he is not wanted and out of the other side of his mouth he is using the "R" word about the town he wants to go to, something does not add up.
Using RT Truth's "logic" the good rev is only relaying what he heards. Well, in this case is that not like adding fuel to an already blazing fire? A man of the cloth should know that 2 wrongs do not make a right (if, in fact there is even a wrong in the first place.)
Unfortunately the avoidance by the good Rev of answering the tough questions like size and projections has led RT to be very skeptical.
The fact that the facility needs a gym, place to each, place to pray, place to park, classrooms for school, etc.. is not the issue as Russell Jones noted in the Neighbor News this week; it is the magnitude of the project. 9,000 sq ft of cooking space is one hell of a place to eat; and I sure hope that eating in CC's facilities is not what the good rev meant when he said that CC would mean $5MM in increased revenue...
Bottom line, using the R word is always a crutch when one wants to stray from the real issue. And the real issue is the size of the project and the impact it will have on our town.
