I just posted the message below on the NJ.com board. I am also posting it here. First some thoughts to concider.
There is nothing in this post that violates any rules of nj.com and if it is deleted the GM needs to know what it said.
After careful evaluation of this matter I have come up with one possible solution, the termination of employment of the moderator of the Rockaway forum. His/Her actions were willful, deliberate and soley meant to further the opinion of one group of individuals rather than allow open and honest discussions amoung neighbors. The downward spiral of the NJ.com board reminds me of a political campain in that once one party got nasty the other team did also. I am calling on those who oppose the application of CC to be civil and not be baited into arguments with those in support of the application UNLESS you are discussing FACTS. We at VORT know that some feeble minded people have called us names and made up some rather enticing stories about terrible things we have done, it is all a pack of lies we know it and so do you.
We ask that you simply reply to posts containing lies about the development of 140 Green Pond rd with a simple "RE: LIE", this will let the rest of us know not to waste our time with the posting.
We are all in this for the long haul - keep your focus on the goal - the protection of our community from environmental harm, urban sprawl, stress of fire and first aid serviced and loss of funds.
Below is the post to NJ.com:
Yesterday was a new low for this venue. However, today is a new day! I had a nice talk yesterday with the General Manager of NJ.com who was unaware of the issues we have been dealing with.
I expect to hear from her later today after she evaluates all of the information that was emailed to her yesterday.
It is clear that there are many issues that need debate and discussion here in Rockaway Twp. It is also clear that some people need to understand that the internet is not a place where you can say an do whatever you want without fear of being held accountable for your actions.
Debate is healthy. What is interesting is that anger is destructive, and based on scientific studies the destuction is normally internal. Those who fan the fires of anger (and you all know who I am talking about) have only themselves to live with and their own health to contend with.
When you copy the post, you should copy it FROM nj.com so you have the post # and time of the post. It might help track down who is deleting the posts.

Can't get to that site during the day--can you tell me if my post is still there from this morning, just curious. I believe the subject was "Unbelievable" then the post said "That's all I can say about this forum".
Just wondering if they found that offensive and removed it! lol
They're at the point where they're looking neurotic--that post could've been taken any way:
"Gee whiz, this forum is great!" "Wow, you Rockaway people are really mean to the church people" "You're all nuts!"
I guess they didn't want it to be taken the "wrong way" which is:
"This is an utterly counterproductive forum because it only shows one side of a two-sided debate. It is particularly shameful that the moderators are active participants in this censorship of our right as citizens to express our opinions on a supposedly open public forum!"
