nj.com - no agenda? You decide

Again, I have complained to Mr. Betz.  I will post any response he gives me.  Another post removed for NO REASON.  I have since reposted it.  I hope it stays up this time.  Decide for yourelves whether nj.com is deleting inappropriate posts or instead is suppressing free speech.

Sorry, But when people keep trying to make this more then it is, people have to speak up.

The meeting size is telling the story most of the people who checked out the first meeting are gone.

Like I said the people I have talked to say they are fine either way and the meetings drawing less and less seem to prove that.

I would say the same if a temple, company or school wanted the site it is very big and people know it was sale for years.

Just dont want us the taxpayer to be stuck in court if the law is not followed.

If the board finds a legal way to deny them most people in town would be fine with that also.

I still stick by the herc site as a choice or finding a middle ground with the church.

Just want peoples and groups right to buy land and have the law followed respected

My response - deleted within 3 hours:

"Sorry, But when people keep trying to make this more then it is, people have to speak up."

They do - at the planning board meetings. The church is trying to make more of the property than the property can handle, and PEOPLE ARE SPEAKING UP. I don't see any church supporters from Rockaway speaking up at meetings, do you?

"The meeting size is telling the story most of the people who checked out the first meeting are gone."

You are right. The 100 people Christ Church brought no longer show up. Lots of people were curious about the meetings. Hey - I'm very interested and I've missed 1 1/2 of the 2nd and 3rd meetings due to other obligations and being dead tired on the date of the 3rd meeting. It's a major hardship to ask people to sit through monthly 3 hour meetings from 8PM to 11PM, but yet OVER 300 have down it now four months in a row. NO OTHER PROJECT before the planning board has drawn anywhere NEAR this kind of support. EVER!

"Like I said the people I have talked to say they are fine either way and the meetings drawing less and less seem to prove that."

Well maybe you should speak less with the people who hire you to write these posts and speak more with the residents of Rockaway Township who are CLEARLY against the proposal - just as Mr. Jenning's stated in his article in the Daily Record.

"Just dont want us the taxpayer to be stuck in court if the law is not followed."
