1. Sanctuary holds 3500 according to his web site last I looked. (I bet it can hold a lot more if less space is afforded between each seat in the stadium - - - a feat which could be accomplished at any time in the future)
2. His Fellowship Hall can hold about 900.
3. His Gym can probably hold about 500.
4. His Cafeteria can probably hold about 500.
5. His whole Sunday show is an audio-video event which can be fed to those adjacent areas.
6. Presently, he has the stamina to run 5 services per Sunday.
7. Let us go to the conservative side and say he does not gain in Stamina and still does his 5 event show every Sunday.
Max projected capacity is as follows:
(3,500 + 900 + 500 + 500) x 5 Performances = 27,000 members per Sunday. Does that sound ridiculous? OK -
Assume that I overstated it somehow. I doubt it but lets consider that I am 2X to the high side. That still represents a performance capacity of 13,500 people on Sundays.
I will let you make your own assumptions and draw your own conclusions about my analysis. The reason I tried to nail him down with a cap of 25,000 members at the last meeting was the above analysis coupled with his calculated annualized average growth (see a much earlier post from several weeks ago for details). Please remember that he would not offer to accept the cap of 25,000. Hmmm.
ps, there are only about 24,000 people in RT just to put it in perspective.
Hey Craig, I am with you 100% on your figures. The good Rev. is only human, and ambitions are a part of life. Some of us are more ambitious, again nothing wrong as long as we are responsible with our decisions. The right thing for the ambitious Rev. to do would be to find an appropriate site that can support the Campus/resort of his colosul dreams...IMHO.
Using Ireland lingo, it would not surprise me if he plans to "plant" one here in RT AND one west of the Water Gap! Remember, he has already "planted" five of his Christ Churches.
