Beware the wolf in sheeps clothing. This is NOT bias, this is factual. There is no way around it -a 450,000 sq. compound is BIG business, plain and simple. How does one maintain and indeed grow a large business? Very simple - stratigize, reasearch, forulate a plan, and grow, grow, grow...this is so not about anyones personal relationship with God, or their right to worship as thry deem fit - this is about ambition, and ambition can consume like a cancer.
God helps those whom help themselves, so feel proud to take a stand for something you believe in.
I posted this on NJ.com last night.......a simple verse straight from the good book......it was deleted. When I came across this passage, I could not help but think of the way Mr. Ireland has presented himself to the Township.
A sheep in wolf's clothing indeed.
Perhaps it hit a nerve within the CC corporate structure.
At the risk of being redundant, here are some stats:
1.CC's average anualized growth rate over the last ten year period has been 26 % per year
2. Their present facility supports a congregation of 5000 people with 25,000 square feet.
3. They want to build a facility that is 412,000 squre feet.
4. St Peters Basilica in the Vatican is about 500,000 squre feet, just to put the size into perspective.
6. He is going to invest 31 million bucks into this entertainment center of his.
7. But he says he has no growth projections.
Anyone who believes that this is not a big business and that Ireland has grand plans here in RT is a total fool. My only regret is that I do not own stock in CC. Unfortunatly, it is a private organization.
I hope that I have been rude. It's much better to be rude than trampled over. Marla and I will be at the meeting tomorrow. This afternoon, we are going out to distribute flyers about the meeting here in the Meriden section. See ya!
