How time can change things... Interesting quotes

I found these statements interesting to reivew this morning....
Excerpts from the New York Times article posted on CC's Website, dated June 29, 2003

"I used to terrorize the Christians on the campus, bringing up philosophical arguments in debate," he said of his time at Fairleigh. "I did it to justify my own atheist position, but all along I was searching."
(so now he has he turned this aggressive behavior in our direction???)

...he said he had met with the mayor, Louis S. Sceusi, and found him to be "very positive." ...
( I thought he said Scuesi was reluctant from the start)

.... Dr. Ireland says the two Sunday services, with an hour in between, would have minimal effect on traffic....
(I wonder what his definition of "minimal is)

Pastor Ireland is optimistic that things will go smoothly here. "We're not asking for any setbacks," he said. "We're not asking for any lessening of parking requirements, we're not asking for height changes. Nothing."
(really???? Hmmm)

As posted on his website : http://www.christchurchnj.org/site/ministries/nytimes.htm

great find! I am sure this kind of documentation will be helpful in a court of law. Let's hope our legal eagles are getting all this kind of double talk together for the defense of our town. What a tangled web...

He must have just "mis-spoke". As a gifted man of the cloth, he certainly wouldnt attempt to mislead or lie.

Ya see folks, if you invent your own religion (which ireland has done), anything goes.  It could be that lying is dogmatically correct in CCism.  It may be openly encouraged in order to fulfill the mission of "The Gifted One".  Thus, all of this stuff is irrelevent in this world of "religion" that we must deal with.  The only time it becomes a problem is when one is under oath.  Although lying may not a sin in CCism, it is against the law in legal interrogatories, deps, and in front of a judge or jury.

Although, I guess he could even claim that in those situations, lying is part of their celebration and thus all of our other laws are null and void in his particular case.

Interesting (to me anyway).

He and his Advertising Agency (excuse me PR Firm) will say anything to sell themselves or their plan. I just got a copy of the sign they want to put out in front of 140 Green Pond Rd.

Gotta have a good memory if you're gonna lie.

Tsk tsk "Mr." Ireland better sharpen that memory or soon your flock will wake up and smell the roses.

Looks like "religion" pays better than atheism.

Good find!
