3 to 1

While I was happy to see our letter published in the Rag today, I was dismayed to see 3 uninformed editorials against us, our town and our officials. A casual onlooker doesn't know what these three "concerned citizens" are really up to; they simply see one editorial on this side of the fence, and three on the other.

I know there's alot of us who don't like what's going on, but we need to show that in print. As this moves deeper into RLUIPA territory, many more eyes will be upon us. Every one of us should be regularly bombarding newspapers with editorials discussing our side of the debate. VORT will do it's part, but this can't just come from us....we need eveyone's participation.

Thanks.

PS-You don't want Doty to have the last word!

Adam,

What we are seeing here is the "same olde same old."  The DR has taken a strong editorial position against the citizens who purchase its paper.  That could only mean that they are compensating for that loss in revenue in other ways - - - read - - - via CC's PR machinery.  Money talks.

FYI - cc's PR machine at nj.con is now trying to show that 3 letters = the majority of our township:

4311. Daily Record Letters

by rockboy2, 4/20/05 9:25 ET

Did anyone see the letters to the editors today in the Daily Record. There was a nonsensical one from Lisa and her group and there were three letters in support of the church or against the actions of Rockaway Township officials. One of those letters called them a bunch of "buffoons" and said their actions "smack of racism." So, I digress: That's three letters versus one letter from athe anti-church group. This should be a stark warning to the local officials that they should put down their swords and come to a peaceful resolution with the church. Or face the consequences of angry tax-paying residents who will boot them from their soon-to-be short-lived exalted postions.

The problem with this stuff is that, ultimately, it could pollute the jury pool.  Maybe it is time to reconsider RT's position regarding PR firms.

If would be foolish to go to battle against someone having tanks, while you just have field artillery.

And make no mistake about it - - - this man has declared war on RT.

Yes, and when I replied that the Daily rag must be on CC's bankroll because of it's bias reporting of the situation and they chose more of the anti letters, I promptly got deleted.

You were a good nickname, but alas, the powers that be found you offensive...If I only knew what you did wrong, other than posting the truth....

...oh well - time to be re-invented....I'm sure the PR nicknames were all unaffected and will start in with the old "you're new here"...
