Zogby?

As reported by the Daily Record, "Hercules has commissioned Zogby International, a well-known polling outfit, to sample resident sentiment about the future of the Hercules site."

From the recently filed lawsuit, it is obvious that mister ireland either believes or at least would like a court to believe that all his Rockaway Township supporters are in fear of publicly supporting him.  Why does he continue to refuse to accept the truth that he has almost NO base of support here.

Does anyone know what it would take ($$$) to hire an outfit such as Zogby or one of the other poll takers to run a similar survey in Rockaway Township???  The results could be VERY telling!

I actually heard Rev Ireland say he believes the evangelicals in RT are afraid of retaliation if they support him ... but from what I can tell (being an evangelical myself)... he has LOST the evangelical support by choosing to run a PR campaign instead of coming in & being very organized & very honest.

It appears no one wants a large church that has seemingly lost its credibility with the neighborhood & the town ... it will just make it harder on the other churches in the area ... unfortunately it appears both he & his advisors are unwilling to consider this

The lack of support IS NOT beacuse of intimidation from local residents... in fact, just the opposite... the residents seem to be for the most part (98%) for the church, but against the site selection

Hey dweller. Good to hear from you. I agree. Speaking for myself and everyone else I am familiar with, no one had any ill intent towards this church in the beginning. Basically no one cared about them one way or the other, but we all were, and still are against the size and location. I will be honest though and say that during the past year of proceedings, my personal opinions have changed. I have gone from ambivalance regarding their "mission", to one of complete distrust. They have lost all credibility in my eyes. I am sick and tired of all of the incomplete plans, "mistakes", "mis-statements", accusations, denouncements, and just plain dishonest attempts to circumvent the laws by this group. Their suit against the town before the town even makes any decision was the final straw in my mind. I am beginning to think that, as some originally said, this was their Plan B all along. First try to muscle their way in to a rural town full of a bunch of hicks that will never know what hit them. Failing that, they will try to make as much money off their escapades as they can and move onto the next town of country bumpkins who arent prepared for them. I'm just glad we caught them in time. Personally, I dont care if we have to pay for the next 10 years to litigate this case. They will not suceed in this town if I have anything to say about it.

Chuck,

We feel the same way, obviously.  There is one difference, however.  I had real bad feelings about this guy after the very first PB meeting.  My gut told me that he was not a man of good intentions or good will and certainly was not to be trusted.  My instincts turned out to be correct.
