Time for David Press to Go

Three Republicans are running in the Ward 5 primary in Rockaway Township,
with the winner facing Democratic Councilman David Press in November.

Since Press has been a strong advocate for christ church rather than for the best interest of the township, it is time for us to retire him.

Everyone agree? If not, why not?

Yes, I do agree. He is not leading his ward, but allowing others to lead him by whispering sweet nothings in his ear. Ward 5 needs someone with a backbone.

Bring back Max Rogers. No one tells him what to say or think. C.

I see a lot of signs around for Tucker Kelly. Anyone know anything about and his position vis a vis Christ Church?

I spoke to him - he seemed rather resigned to the fact that they are already here due to our inept current town "leadership"...perhaps he should latch onto this injustice and run with it.

On a brighter note - perhaps the economic tsunami of the last year has caught or "resident" charlatan" with his pants down so to speak...kinda tough to squeeze the sheeple when they are worried about the next rent check...just sayin'...biggrin.gif

Quoting John Q:

" - - - he seemed rather resigned to the fact that they are already here due to our inept current town "leadership"...perhaps he should latch onto this injustice and run with it."

We at least need someone who represents the best interest of the township and not the best interest of childs circus. In other words, we need someone who will kick some township employee butt when the codes and subcoces are not followed and to be on top of this guy and his construction project like flies on $hit. The present administration has the basic attitude of letting ireland and company do whatever the hell he wants to do and Mr. Press endorses that position. Why? I do not think that the township administration would let me get away with doing anything on my property outside of the auspice of the codes and subcodes. Very strange situation here.

Does it really matter who gets in for 5th ward council at this point? CC is already there. The damage is done. If our Mayor who is an attorney, along with the town attorney and hired legal specialists couldnt stop it, how will any of those running for council change things. Of what I see of the candidates, none of them have any special qualifications to speak of.

That is a fact as proven in court. Do we really want someone with such a severe lack of judgement running for a seat on the board, or worse yet, running our town?

Keep in mind that David Press was a proactive advocate for CC. Do we reward that sort of representation?

So I agree Press needs to go. I think I am going to vote for Tucker. It will be great to see him and the councilman who's face he licked sitting at the same table. It's time to stir things up in Town Hall. Can't get any worse than how bad Obama and Corzine are making things....
