I see this as VERY GOOD news.  Do you?  I guess that he has finally seen that his plans are not appropriate for the location and that there is no way that he will get around that fact.  So, he may as well sue to at least get a bunch of money from us.

OK!

Hardly surprising news.  One question for any legal scholars out there (or those that wish to speculate):

If the DEP pulls the exemption, would this lawsuit become moot since without the exemption the plans submitted are invalid at the state level?

After a read through these are my thoughts regarding the merit of this document:

Laughable, Ludicrous, Fabricated, Devoid of truth and fact, and a demonstration of 'revisionist history'.

There are more wholes in this document then the swiss cheese Cindy Forrest wrote of in this weeks NN!

We all expected this move and after the last planning board meeting and the melt down of their application it was clear this was their only step left!  This also ends the planning board process in my estimation.  How can the board be expected to hear this case with such hostility agianst them.  We will know more next week.

Should be interesting day in the papers Saturday.

As legal complaints go, I find it unusually emotional in content. Do you?

waaa, mean old Rockaway won't bend to my will...waaa, why are they not impressed with my degrees... It was always heading for the courts - I for one am glad we are moving to the next phase...the meetings were like watching grass grow, with a horrific car crash thrown in once in a while! Time for the implosion before a court of law...what a ride this man has been taken for, I feel truly sorry for the congregation whom I am sure would love nothing more than top continue attending services at their local community church.

Lisa,

I wonder why "The Becket Group" was not a signatory to this complaint - - - hmmmm.  Maybe they see the writing on the wall?

I checked - it appears that the other cases on the Becket Joke website are similar - they never actual take part in the suit.  They just provide the legal 'advise'.

These guys are such a scar on our nation!

Finally the charade is over and truth will prevail.

I have to say, looking at this case objectively; the cards are definitely stacked in Rockaway Township’s favor. Our town leaders were very careful to follow the letter of the law throughout this whole ordeal. While the “Plaintiffs” has consistently demonstrated deceit and deception in their attempt to strong-arm out town.

I wonder if he is still telling his flock to give more? How much of their money has he wasted on this to date? I’m guessing somewhere in the neighborhood of $5-10 million.

You have to ask yourself why a church that is so “alive” and has demonstrated extraordinary growth over the past decade, suddenly leveled off at 5000 members in the past 2 years? Have members realized they were duped into feeding one man’s ego and left the flock. Perhaps the real number is now lower than 5000.
