Olive Branch Dollars and Sense

I see a major financial disadvantage to letting the church project establish a foothold in the township.  Once title passes, the $630,000 tax cash flow from Agilent stops.  Before title passes this money can be used to hire lawyers, expert witnesses, etc. and otherwise offset the costs of what may very well be a lengthy and expensive legal defense.
Once this church is in and this money dries up, it will be the town's (ie taxpayers') burden to fight the church's inevitable plans for expansion.  At that point, the cost of doing this will be an extremely tough hurdle to overcome expecially in view of RLUIPA.
It is clear to me that if this project is not stopped completely at this time the chances of it being controlled down the road are not good.
Any thoughts?

I agree.  If we do not fight this thing now using those tax bucks from Agilent, we may as well just change the name of Rockaway Township to "New Ireland."
