Listen, we're all aware of the time the VORT families and many others in the community are investing in raising awareness of this project.
They've sacrificed countless hours and dollars, which could have been spent with their families--instead they feel the more urgent need to spread the word; to wake up the town's residents to what's going on around them.
In addition to throwing them a couple bucks, there are other ways to help. The easiest way, from our perspective, is to let your neighbors know and remind them they must attend the planning board meetings.
We must show continued concern about the project and support for our officials in their efforts to protect our community.
One night before the last meeting, my hubby and I drove around sticking flyers in mailboxes. We seriously went through about 100 flyers (all we had) in about 10 minutes--and just on Upper Hibernia Road. We wished for more.
With him driving, and me putting the flyers in, it was a piece of cake (and sort of fun, somehow! lol).
I'm going to make a bunch of copies of the flyers in the next day or so, for the March 11 meeting.
Please contact me at gottaluvvit@excite.com if you'd like some to pass around. Every family who is made more aware of this project will be a more valuable resident for the future.
VORT guys, if you have any issues with us passing these out, just let me know!
As we said yesterday, Marla and I are willing to help. But we need a copy of the document to run off a bunch more. If you want us to help, please provide us with that by sending a copy to:
k - we understand. We had been there ourselves a long time ago. We once re-built (in its entirity) a nice home that was built in 1912 on Park Ave in Verona, NJ. Total chaos. When ya get a chance, just email us a .doc of it and we can take it from there (assuming it is in a .doc format).
