I heard from Snowflack this morning and he advised me this was going to be published.
Some people may be a bit confused over what happened last Monday night at the planning board meeting in Rockaway Twp regarding the Christ Church application. One topic of discussion was where the proposed traffic light may be positioned; there was no discussion about a second traffic light. The fireworks started when the traffic expert for Christ Church was asked about evening traffic between the hours of 5 and 9 pm. The traffic expert denied any traffic at all, but when presented with the data submitted to the DEP by Christ Church showing that there would be 250 people on the site during those hours, on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, the excuses began. First the traffic expert claimed he was never given that data, then the attorney for Christ Church, Wendy Berger, said she was not the attorney that filed the DEP application, then Ms. Berger said that the application submitted to the DEP must not be accurate.
This is only one in a long series of inconsistencies between testimony and the actual plans and data submitted to the DEP. Since the granting of the DEP exemption Christ Church has changed their plans multiple times and now under testimony has stated that the data submitted to the DEP was wrong. The DEP exemption clearly states the exemption will be “null and void” if there are changes to the plan or in the event of error or omissions to the application.
Will Christ Church do the right thing and submit their new plans to the DEP? Or will they threaten yet another governing body with legal action for applying the law fairly?
Only time will tell.

The Christ Church Plan for the redevelopment of 140 Green Pond Rd is just too big for the area.
This letter is in todays paper. At least the public now knows what happened at the last meeting. We all know Rob dropped the ball on the last 2 meetings.
