RLUIPA vs the Courts

Given the shift somewhat to the right in the last political elections in our country, what do you think will be its impact on the ultimate testing of the constututionality of RLUIPA?  Keep in mind that new Supreme Court nominations are likely before RLUIPA is tested.

The results of this survey amplify my contention of just how truely naive most folks in this township turely are - - - completely ill equipped to deal with a scheister.  We feel very badly for all of you, and slightly bad for ourselves because of the cost that we will suffer.  Fortunately, we do have the resources to solve this problem on our own making ireland and company truely irrelevent in our lives.  Have fun folks.

BTW - anyone here know when the DEP is going to overturn its exemption??  ROTFL!!!

Craig,

I wish we all as smart as you. ((NOT))  You have really stepped over the line this time. If anyone is naive it is you - you fail to see how systems work and how when we pull together we have far more strenght then infighting and name calling.  I thought you were moving?

PS Can you tell us what happened at the last several meetings - oh thats right you have not been there how could you!

AND LOOK I NEED NOT EDIT MY POST 1400 times - like you

We are moving - - - horray!!!  I finally got the wife to see the light here.  Yes, you are very naive and I am quite worldly.  Enjoy your new church.

Craig

ps - the legislative and executive branches of the government choose the judiciary branch, just in case you did not know.  Since the legislative and executive branches have moved towards the (christian) right, I do not think that you are going to find much sympathy for your anti church position here in town.  And, the nominations to the supreme court are going to make it more conservative, thus more prone to upholding RLUIPA.  You are a sad bunch not to have seen that.  Very sad indeed.

Let's not panic folks - all Rockaway is doing is following the laws. The DEP can not choose any path but to follow the laws too, and clearly cc has cheated in order to gain it's exemption. It takes time - the wheels of justice grind slow...

Sometimes it is "Craig" and sometimes it is "Craig's Nephew".  Ya never know who you are gonna get.  Right now, it is "Craig's Nephew" writing.  Any more questions?

From the survey, it appears that 75 % of the people who care to contribute to the surveys on this bbs have never taken "Civic Classes" and/or are not knowledgable in the field basic "Political Science".

Very sad, indeed.

If you are really moving - which I hope you are - you need not post here any more as this matter has no effect on you.

Do not go away mad.... just go away.
