Did I hear correctly?

It seemed to me that last night cc agreed to cap service attendance at 2500 people. What am I missing here?

The planning board kept saying 2 services, the traffic guy kept saying two services... that would leave them zero growth potential, unless they plan on doing 3-5 services down the road. Is there a permit required for the number of services?

It also seemed the traffic guy skipped over the traffic leaving 1st service, instead sighting "some" overlapping traffic between 10-11 am... i didn't hear him mention the wed night figures either as 600-1000+ arrive during rush hour... did he sight that?

Even if he agreed to cap it at 2500, that would be an empty and un-enforcable jesture.  How is he going to control how many people just so happen to show up at one of his services a few years from now?  And, even when substantiall exceeding that number became a regular event, what is the town going to say or do about it, despite his pledge?

Answer: Nothing.  His statements are meaningless.

That may, in fact, be true Rat, but Dweller is correct. This was the first time that they went on record with a site capacity limit. The PB attorney warned that they could be bound to it and if the cap was exceeded later on, their C.O. could be pulled. That being said, I agree it would be a tough thing to catch them on unless you have someone there taking a head count all the time, but the point that Dweller made is of greater concern to me. Right now his highness gives 5 shows every Sunday (5x1000=5000 people). With a site capacity of 2500, he could get away with 4x2500=10,000. We know he needs upwards of that number to pay the bills and support himself in the manner he is accustomed. So he works less each Sunday and can still collect more money from more people. I want to see the traffic projections when it goes to 3 or 4 services each Sunday. Lets see CC agree to a cap on the number of services too. (Yeah, Right).

I agree with that assessment.  No way to control the number of services.  He could run 10 for that matter.  But we all know instinctively that you do not build a 300,000 ft^2 facility for 2500 persons per service!  He plans for many more than that number else the size of the project would be much smaller.
