OK I thought it was funny... I see some disagreed. Do you really think Santa on a Cross saying "Santa didnt die for your sins" is anti Chrsitian? It is VERY much the opposite. Have you ever heard "keep Christ in Christmas". GUESS WHAT Mr. Weinstein I AM CHRISTIAN and I thought it was funny! I thought the other bumper stickers and pins they were funny too rather twisted but funny. You may not agree with my sense of humor but HEY this is the USA I could care less what you think! I speak for MYSELF not the entire town. Calm yourself! You may want to do something about your high strung personality;have a drink, see a movie, 'get lucky' whatever it takes to calm the frig down. I know this is a big account for you and you dont want to blow it but dude you are acting like a nut case.
Karen, Sorry if I pushed the envelope here that was not my intention. I really thought they were funny and being Christian myself I believe I do have a right to poke a little fun at my OWN thoughts and beliefs. I do hope I am forgiven, I know JC will.
I did not see the posting but I agree with you! You have a right to say whatever you want (within reason of course) but they went way overboard with this one. Hey we all have our own point of view and sense of humor, thank GOD for the USA we can say what we want even if it is not what others may wish to hear.
I think your posting showed these people in their true light. You can not say anything THEY feel is not proper or they will cry all the way to the press! GET A GRIP Mr. Weinstein!
CC is now grasping at straws in my opinion. They are running out of ideas, and the PR campaign is now working on future lawsuit. Shame on you Marc - you have bamboozled enough of the CC warchest...give them the straight up skinny - the plans were never going to br accepted by our town.
I saw the posting and the graphics. With memories of the problems that Craig started, I thought that it the content was inappropriate for a public forum, and more fodder for CC. That is why I asked Karen to remove them here in the board. I am not whiney stein...just a guy that has the same first name as him...but I Whiney guess he made his call to his big brother Jerkins before the graphics were dumped.
Perhaps this will be the last time someone posts something without thinking that whatever you put here can and will be used against us.
Hey Jerkins...I guess its been a little slow for you...here's an idea or two... how about maintaining an unbiased angle on this issue...and why don't you do some good investigative reporting as to how the NJ.con board has been pirated by Christ Church????
Jerkins reminds me of a wanna be Geraldo Rivera. Rob (what an appropriate name), I doubt you'll win any awards for this, as a matter of fact, I predict eventually you'll be publicly humiliated by the bedfellows you have chosen.
I was christmas shopping at the mall. One of the booths in the hallway near Macys they were selling wooden signs. QUICK MARC you may need to get to the mall and censor this sign!! It said " Beer is proof God wants us to be HAPPY!" I am sure the powers that be at Christ Church will have a problem with that and seeing as it was for sale in RT there most be some larger plot going on.

Mark,
I think that you need to go back and look at the record. Craig did not start the problem, a CC shill did. He merely responded to what he saw as an afront to his own religion. And to this point in time, CC nor Ireland has denounced the position taken by his shill on the issue. As I have said, I called CC to get their position of Supercessionism, and they adhere to it. That means that after Jesus Christ was born, all other religious beliefs became obsolete including Judaism.
So, did Craig start it or attempt to shine light on this issue? Craig and his wife feel that beliefs such as those espoused by CC are religiously bigoted. And I believe this to be true also. Don't you?
A little research on this subject lead me to an old post from "matthew"
.quote: Originally posted by: Matthew "The topic of who could get into Heaven was heavily debated over the last weeks. As an example, participants asked if even Hitler could get to Heaven upon accepting Jesus. Many here claim to be Christians, yet I am unsure why the obvious Biblical answer to this question was never offered by any of them, nor by the Catholic Priests consulted by Mr. Maier. The answer can be found in the 23rd chapter of the Gospel of Luke. This chapter recounts the moments preceding Christ's crucifixion. It tells about 2 additional men being crucified along with Jesus. These men are convicted criminals who have obviously led evil lives and commited many crimes which have now led them to their crucifixion. 39One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!" 40But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? 41We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong." 42Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom." 43Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise." "
Yes, I can see how someone of the Jewish faith would find this offensive. Why were these types of postings over looked by the press. They are clearly meant to insight people. However Matthew, whom ever he was is in the USA and has a right to his opinion regardless of how warped it may be. Any fool who thinks you can lead a life of killing and disregard for your fellow human will be 'forgiven' with only a few words is not living in reality. This is the 'easy way out' for those who are lost, in my opinion. Leading a life of goodness and faith is what will be rewarded -there is not "get into heaven free card", in my opinion. Looking back at these posts it was clear that someone wanted to bait people into fights. The baiting all took place from someone who claimed to be a christian, I am a christian, I can not agree with this one persons interpertation of the Bible.
You wrote...." And I believe this to be true also. Don't you?"
I beleive Craig to be an intelligent person. I beleive Craig meant to help build his case against CC, with his statments.
However, I it's an angle that I don't support as a way to fight CC.
I don't beleive this is a forum for religious debate. I cringed during the whole Matthew incedent, and while I was annoyed, I mostly kept to myself, because my releious beliefs don't change a thing about why I don't want the mega church to locate itself at 140 Greenpond.
I have no wish to revisit the subject matter of the postings of the past but only to remind people that there is a such a thing as FREEDOM of speech and that many people have different opinions on religion. The one thing that we can all agree upon when it comes to religion nobody knows for sure what the truth is - none of us were there when it all began. What we all have is our own faith and thoughts that is all we have and discussions about these thoughts and beliefs are healthy, but not part of a plan for the destruction of a building and the rebuilding a larger building on wetlands, while taking much needed tax dollars from the town.
NO, Religion is not the issue here, nor should anyone try to make it so. I would like Mr. Whiney to remember this fact.
Jokes are strange things, some people see them as jokes and others do not. I have been in the Human resourse world for about 18 years now and on thing is clear YOU MUST be very careful when it comes to humor with people you do not know very well and if in doubt DONT say anything.
It appears that this was intended to be a "joke" and it may have been to somebody, many people or all but one. But the intention is no longer the point as it became press fodder for Weinstein. The good news on this is that I have recieved a great deal of calls on this with people outraged that Weinstein is complaining about 'free speech'. This backfired big time on him, as did the "press conference", advertisment and mailing. Thanks for the help Marc!
