I was just browsing the NJ.com site and there seems to be some talk about this site being taken down. So, I was wondering, Is anyone out there? If so, Happy Holidays.
Happy holidays to you as well. Nj.com, I do not see why anyone bothers with that place any longer. Looks like one or two people posting there and that's it.
The reason why I bother looking a the NJ.com site is that I really would like to get some information on the status of the CC situation. For instance, a while ago there was a reference to some problems they might be having getting a Highlands exemption for lot 7. Not sure what that was about but it did seem unusually specific. I agree that probably 99% of the posts are totally uninformative but I keep looking for the other 1%. It seems that you hear about something, for instance that RT has filed a suit contesting the exemption, and then nothing more concerning it for months and months.
Nope, no plans to take this forum down! It's free so I'll keep 'er up as long as there's issues to discuss.
I think the VORT site is down, though.
I imagine those folks were spending a pretty penny for site maintenance and whatnot so I guess now that there's really nothing much going on about the church maybe they've suspended the board?
Anyway, feel free to continue posting your thoughts about Rockaway Township issues, Christ Church related or otherwise! :D
I too am anxiously awaiting news. I dont think they can have services because as part of that comes Sunday School and no school until all the pollution is cleaned up. The $1M that HP is on the hook for will only be a small percentage of what needs to be done before they can get any permits. I do believe they are in a bit of a catch 22 where they cant do much without getting permits and they cant get permits without remediating the pollution and they cant do that without other permits and lots of $. So its still a good bet that one of these days they will pack up and go home (I hope). In the meantime they are still paying all those taxes, which is fine by me.
