It was real easy for me to contact them. Their number is listed, but I do not have it right here where I am at. But, their corporate headquarters are located on Rt 23 in Verona, NJ. (Not Montclair as you might have expected). See if you can talk with the man at the top! I was unable to get him.

I have been contacted my many people in the past year who have contacted CC - they have all be ignored or some in fact have been told to leave the building or hung up on. I was hung up on twice when asking questions about plans to move to Rockaway Twp this happened in March and April 2004.

Mr. Ireland could not take 2 minutes to stop and speak to us outside his press conference (there were more people outside the press conference then participants in the press conference).

What do they plan on telling people (if they return calls at all) that they can not address in public forums?

I also would like to ask you all what you think of Ireland holding the press conference without his "experts" yet he refuses to answer questions in the planning board claiming he does not know the information. He speaks volumes to the press - yet not to the planning board? HMM sounds strange to me... do you think he is holding back the extent to which he is knowledgeable or is he giving the press less than accurate information?

We all know that we will not get any straight answers from Ireland. The most important information that we need to understand is his business model and just exactly how he is going to support a 31 Million dollar mortgage with only 6,300 members. But, if you want general information, call his church and pretend to be interested in their so called religion. That is how I got the information about their religious beliefs posted earlier. They have no problems whatsoever chatting about that to perspective members (suckers i mean).

The big issue is one of 20,000 members, not his claimed 5000 members (presented more than a year ago now). 20,000 people comming to church in a town that has only 24,000 people as its total population is a huge problem to any reasonable person evaluating the situation.

The problem is that he will never in a million years provide this town with a true projection of his growth. That is the "rub."

Would've acted on that sooner but as you know, we live in a camper right now--and the phone is in the process of being reconnected so we've not received your calls. Scott just left the hill to run an errand and got your voice mails.

At any rate, I agree--as a Christian, I have my beliefs and could care less what this dingleberry has to say about them, however I've deleted the graphics due to their sheer obnoxiousness.

Hi,

I guess I am a little late to see why Rob Jennings called me a few hours ago. I find it very strange that a member of the press called me today to say that Mark Weinstein called him saying he was upset with subject matter on this board - as he felt that it was "anti-Christian". He further stated that I was asked to remove the item from the board. Interestingly Rob stated, "Mark Weinstein said HE asked that Lisa or Karen remove it". Again I will state that I do not have administrative authority on this message board and this board is operated by private residents and not owned or operated by Voices of Rockaway Twp.

Further, the last time I checked freedom of speech and expression was a privilege we all enjoy here in the USA - just like freedom of religion. Neither of these freedoms is more or less important than the other, nor would either be able to survive without the other. Mr. MARK Weinstein (aka MarkB - please correct me if I am wrong) this is a free country filled with people with opinions and ideas they can freely share - even if some disagree. Is this a standard practice of Mr. Weinstein’s client - to silence those with views that differ from theirs?

I see that Karen took down what I can only assume to be graphics on a posting. As she is the administrator of the message board I know she did what she felt was right for this board. However, I find it outrageous that Mr. Weinstein feels the need to call the press and complain about some ones right to free speech - What would people think if anyone in Rockaway Twp were to question the rights of anyone to practice freedom of religion? In Rockaway Twp we have lived for many years with people practicing all different types of religions with no problems and much unity.

One thing became completely clear, Christ Church is watching this board and I hope they read my comments and start acting like professionals. The planning board meetings are the proper venue to discuss your application for the redevelopment of 140 Green Pond Rd. Further, if you thought there was something I could do regarding your concern over this or any other item, why didn’t you pick up the phone and call me - I know you have the number, you have used it in the past.

Even more interestingly, MarkB happens to be a personal acquaintence of mine, and by no stretch of the imagination is he in any way related to Mark Weinstein (besides, isn't Weinstein's name spelled "Marc"?)

I guess the most telling bit to quote to you is from one of MarkB's funniest (and very accurate!) posts, in which he calls [what Rob assumes to be] himself and his client's attorney "Whiney stien and Whiney berger". (RE: Whinestein is at it again)

I guess Rob figures Jesus isn't the only one who's able to laugh at himself. But I don't think Weinstein's sense of humor is quite so self-deprecating.

I find it odd that anyone would make the assumption that Mark Weinstein is a poster on this board--particularly a member of the press, whose job it is to AVOID making assumptions and be sure their statements are based on truth.

Now, my fingers are numb from the cold so it's hard to type accurately--and I need to go get ready for a quick trip back to the eighties. So party on, y'all.
