I guess everyone knows that Childs Circus wants to commence services immediately in the existing structures on GPR, just Davids way of saying, "Merry Christmas , RT". You can bet your butts that the next thing will be a petition to our tax assessor for total tax exempt status once the first service is held in the existing buildings. Say goodbye to around 600 K in RT tax revenues.
Maybe all those people who "stop in to see if when services will be starting" are just those living up Green Pond Road hoping that their homes sell long before that happens. LOL!
That is what my wife and I theorize; our home has been on the market for around 4 months and nadda, zippo, no interest whatsoever despite a very low asking price and price decreases. What I mean by that is that nobody has even come over to look at this place! That is what happens. The price is now down to very close to what we paid for it 20 years ago, and will keep on falling til we can get out of Dodge. That should be very pleasing to many of you folks to hear. :)
Here is an interesting apples to apples comparison of the situation at hand:
20 years ago we purchased this place for 517K.
We sold our home on Park Ave in Verona for 270K in order to make the move at that point in time.
That same exact Verona home (with no alterations) very recently sold for 760K.
This RT Home is now down to 629K and still falling in price with no interest.
You may want to view this as a prelude of things to come for all of you living here in RT and especially those who live in the Meriden area.
Do any of you still think that it would have been money poorly spent to fight David Ireland all the way up to the Supreme Court by challenging the constitutionality of RLUIPA? Hmmmm! This town is suffering big time losses in the overall value of real estate - - - money directly out of your pockets ultimately. So, the township decided not to pay the lawyers then; every taxpayer will pay when they decide to sell their home.
