Moral Relativism

Hi Folks,

I want to introduce an new and interesting topic for all of you to consider and comment on.   This is just an introductory "seed" to get you all to think.  I will call it "moral relativism" between our township and the outside world.  Since I live with Mr. Maier and his wife (and he is a real hard-ass), I want to pose the first question in a series of questions to the room, since I have to listen to theit theoritical religious / moral crap all the time.  It goes this way and we will start with a simple one:

Given that: (so called Dr.) but,  Mr. Ireland and (so called Dr.) but, Mr. Maier have the same scholastic credentials, who would you trust more in terms of their "word?"

(I have copies of his documents and will publish Mr. Maiers Phd in Divinity and his Ordination Papers in the church and he has told me tonight that he has no problems with that, although he laughs at the overall concept!).

Discuss it amongst Yourselves!  Let me know what clarification that you want to see.  Lets make this a "living" document.  It could be pretty interesting.

Who do you trust more, Mr. (Dr.) Maier or Mr. (Dr.) Ireland?

Hmmm - Mr Maier just read this.  He is ****ed because of one omission which he told me that I must post:

1. Ireland and Maier both have undergraduate degrees in Engineering

2. Ireland and Maier both have graduate degrees in Engineering.

Sorry.

I hope that sets the record straight.

Interesting results so far!  The folks would trust a parasite over a taxpayer.  Well, I think that is what they are going to get.  LOL!

No - you are wrong.  I would say that folks don't care and are tired of both.  In another year, one will be looking to build elsewhere and the other will have moved, so really, neither person will have much lasting effect on OUR homes.  Of course, that's just my humble opinion...unlike some here, who propose that their own opinions are NOT so humble...

Aren't you late for class or something???  That must be some easy college you go to with all the time you have to post on this board.  It's almost as if you were really retired and NOT a college student (what a silly thought )!

Gadfly,

Ever heard of wireless networks and notbook computers?  It is something kinda new, invented about 6 years ago.  My computer goes wherever I go and I am always connected, much to the joy and happiness of everyone!  I will continue sharing my wisdon with you via my new-fangled wireless computer.

ps - you might want to consider getting one.  they really are neat.

pss - craig and his wife may be out of here, but not myself, necessarily.  Sorry buddy.

psss - i do not think that ireland shares your confidence that he will not land here.  he did purchase 10 acres at the north end of gpr in rt.  go call a real estate agency and learn about it.  wonder what he is going to do with it - - -

So what you are saying is that if the administrators of this forum looked up your ip address, they would find that you are not ALWAYS coming from one location like most retired adults would be, but instead, you would pop up with home addresses sometimes, and .edu addresses (if you are on a campus wireless lan) or cell phone carriers' wireless network (ooh - can Joe College afford cellular wireless internet? It's very, VERY pricy afterall, and used almost exclusively by corporate types) at others...I got it.

I can tell you that if the admins looked up MY ip address, they'd find that I post from 2 locations - using my static ip cable modem from home and using my corporate proxy server from work (ip might vary, but all owned by the same corporation).

Prove who you are - ask our site administrator to look up your records and have her tell us that you are posting from your school's WLAN (or a cell phone carrier's wireless network) as well as from home...It should be very simple to have EVERYONE believe you - if the admins look up your posts and find you are using an ip address that is part of a .edu domain (or cellular domain) for all those posts you make while on campus, correct?

Karen - Can you help Daniel out - look up his info and prove to us all that he really is a student posting from a campus lan (ccu.edu or some other) or cellular lan (attwireless.net or verizonwireless.net, etc...)?  With all the people here who do not believe him (I know I'm not the only one - I've been privately told by others that 'rational' is not believable), I'm SURE Daniel could use your help proving he is posting from the WLAN / cellular LAN...

Daniel - You amaze me - you have your own laptop with a wireless network connection (tell us - is it 802.11A, 802.11B, 802.11G or cellular?) that you use while on campus, but yet need to use your landlord's AOL email address when you register?  Very strange indeed....

Call the sytem admin.

As for the practical world, have either of you folks checked out the purchase of another 10 acres by Ireland and company?  Are you not the least bit concerned about that, or more concerned about my ispn?

Whatever, It seems clear to me that many of you folks are truely clueless about what is going on here in RT and what to do about it.  But, I am still having a wonderful time watching some of you flounder.  Reminds me of a Three Stooges comedy act.    When was the last time you actually brought someting to the discussion?  Please advise.

Bringing Something To The Discussion

There's precedent, too!

(( ... look up his info and prove to us all that he really is a student
posting from a campus lan (ccu.edu or some other) or cellular lan
(attwireless.net or verizonwireless.net, etc...)? ... I'm SURE Daniel
could use your help proving he is posting from the WLAN /
cellular LAN.  ))

Hear! Hear!  There's precedent as it seems this was done once
before in the attempt to prove that someone posting anonymously
was who everyone thought he was ??

Therefore should be easy enough to do once again and set this
conundrum to rest for once and for all.

I agree Aquarius.  Either many of us are off based, or someone has been lying BIG TIME to us.  It's time to put up or shut up...

I'll be happy to double down on my bet that Rational does not show up on either a cellular network on college network.

....maybe if we give a nice drumroll, our system admin will settle this once and for all - I'm ready to give a DEEP apology if I'm proven wrong - but I don't expect to be giving it...Of course, if I'm proven correct (as I expect), I'd hope that any board members PROVEN to be liars would just go away (quietly preferred).

Aquarius aka Bystander aka Marc Weinstein,

You should do that.  But, in the meantime, why don't you keep your nose out of RT business.  Also, please do not use this venue to advance the cause of your client, Mr. Ireland.  You would not be doing what you are doing if you lived here, sir.  You are quite a hypocrite, sir.

hahahahahahahahahaha !!!   How incredible (literally) you are in making statements such as this one.

I am a housewife, living in a neighboring town (to Rockaway).

The fact that you come up with these cockamamy conclusions (with absolutely nothing with which to base it on, either!) only leads me to conclude that just about EVERYTHING else you say must also be as ludicrous as this!

Unbelievable... aren't you getting tired of digging your own grave yet??

Aquarius / Bystander / Marc Weinstein,

Nice try, buddy.  You used to try to put yourself off as a Phychologist.  Remember?

Confusion

Sorry, never claimed to be a psychologist or psychology specialist ... must be mixing me up with someone else ... but it doesn't take a psychologist to recognize confusion, delusional and paranoic ramblings.

My area of interest, for what it's worth, is sociology... Sociology of people, communities, groups, work, religions, sports, leisure, etc etc etc.

Have a great weekend and don't study too hard!
