As seen elswhere on this board, I have presented a $2,7000.00 solution to this CC problem. It involves the invoking of the law of eminent domain on the GPR property (condemning it). The law of eminent domain is designed precisely for situations like the one that exists right now due to the CC contract. This law is inteded to allow a town to look out for its own best interest when something else conflicts that interest. I can not think of anything that could possibly come closer to fitting that description than Irelands folly.
At most, my recommendation would cost each household in this township $2,700.00. On a 5 year bond @ 6 percent interest, that would cost each family $722.64 for that period of time.
My question is this: Why are you not supporting this very practical and real option? Is it because you can not afford it? So, I am attaching a poll to see if that is the problem.
