Extremely Leveraged / Over Extended

From my grape vine, I heard the rumor that ireland and company are extremely leveraged and over extended financially. In short summary, I was told that he is in serious financial trouble.

We can only pray for this to be true!

I too have heard this rumor. I actually heard it first from a fomer member who keeps in touch from time to time, she is very upset about the focus the group has taken and actually went around the corner in Montclair to a small church that operates I beleive in shared space. She made the most honest statement to date about this mess - It is not the size of your building it is the love within that brings you closer to God. She is a very sweet woman of extreme faith and one whom I respect a great deal.

I am paraphrasing a concept that I had found in a published article concerning megachurches and posted here about a year ago on this forum - - -

When you invent a religion that is 10 miles long and an inch deep, what can you ultimately expect? Perhaps some of the cc contractees are beginning to figure out what is really going on down there.

Check out their Website recently? Not only is the first page a big banner for his recent campaign; Dig Deeper I need More. 80% of the links take you to buying self-help tapes and books disguised as religious material (now his wife is in on the action too), attending seminars for a fee or making donations. Also look at its "leadership". It has a larger corporate structure than most small companies. How much more can they con from their dwindling membership to save this sinking ship

Every really hot day, I relish in the thought of that several lhundred horsepower Trane air conditioning compressor spinning away and drinking their money. Pray for heat and high energy prices. It will hurt them a lot more than it will hurt us.
