Exit 37 RT 80

The state is busy adding a mile or so of turn off lane RT 80 west bound. I wonder why that would be needed.

I can't imagine they would be doing this for CC with the exemption and C-1 stream issue still unresolved. I would assume that they could easily wait for CC to start construction since any construction would likely take more time than adding the lane. Who does one call at the state dot to find out the reason?

Are you certain it's not just a rebuilding of the shoulder since they are repaving in that area?

The DEP website lists all the road construction projects. There is no Exit 37 enhancment project listed. It is probably just part of the resurfacing that is going on. Remain Calm

Spoke with a friend at Tilcon, it seems that they are repairing the shoulder as well as fixing the transition "bump" on the exit 37. They are not lengthening the exit ramp at all.
