I am happy to tell you all that Rockaway Twp. and its residents have some new friends assisting in this matter. I will not "show our hand" yet... it will take a few days for everything to be pulled together but I can say that we have been meeting with some people who are willing to get behind us.
The DEP matter is far from over. There is a great deal to come. Pervious comments from those supporting this project that the applicant cared about the environment were completely blown out of the water last monday with their own testimony. If you were not there, or if you missed it, their engineer admitted that they changed the plans only to seek an exemption from the law, this statement is not sitting well with some very impressive individuals.
I am still amazed that the applicant met with the press a week befor the Sept. planning board meeting and said they were going to "COMPLY" with the new Highlands Regulations... EXEMPTION is the OPPOSITE of COMPLY in this situation.
I have not posted in a few days due to a sheer lack of time.

Why are you amazed? Most of us are not. Ireland has shown a long pattern of lying under oath not to mention lying to the media. Besides, if you are a self proclaimed Minister, I guess that you can just give yourself redemption for such mis-deeds. It's no biggie and no surprise.
Hey Mark, and everyone else--be sure to keep next Sunday afternoon, the 17th, open so we can all thank the VORT folks personally--and contribute to keep the fight going!
They have lots of activities planned for the kids, along with news updates and historical info.
