Breaking News

Just got a call from Rob Jennings. Since the town officially approved the application, CC has officially dropped the RLUIPA lawsuit. They did, however, reserve the right to file new suits regarding the remaining conditions that the town set. Those however, wouldnt (probably) be RLUIPA based and would be regular land-use type lawsuits. He asked my opinion if that made CC welcome in my book which I, of course, proceeded to explain that as far as I am concerned, CC is never welcome. I continue to believe that it is criminal to force those other established businesses out of business so they can have a traffic light. I also think it is criminal to put in a light, thereby, giving a private organization the power of law to regulate traffic on our roads. Hopefully the remaining problems that they still have to overcome will be enough to stop them, because our town sure didnt do much to protect us.

I had a long talk with the DEP yesterday. There are a great number of people down there who are just now getting their first looks at the complete file. One man told me it had just landed on his desk this week. It sounds to me like the DEP was waiting to see where the litigation went and now that that threat has been lifted they are taking action. It is a long road to travel yet with many many pieces of the puzzle yet to play. It also appears that CC has lost a bit of its bark with the RLUIPA items off the table the Becket Fund has no great interest in the case, it appears that Irelands need for an armed guard has left him also as he and Marcus entered the big bad RTWP Mun. builiding all alone Monday night and further it sounds like Whiney is history as well... A PR man not returning calls when the judge tosses out the case sounds like he is off the case.

It aint over yet - I do hope the members of CC really start to take a look at how their money is being spent and ask themselves is that really what God intended?

have a good weekend!

The whole situation reminds me of this classical scenario:

1. They know it is only worth a Grand.

2. So, they ask for a Trillion.

3. Then, they settle for a Billion!

Ireland won this and everyone who thinks about it knows it. So, are we going to let More Dickhead remain in his position? Sure we will.

Craig are you seeking a postion on the planning board? You may be a great deal to the table you may want to talk to the mayor and see if there are postions availalbe.

Thanks, but no thanks! This township is completely unprepared for what I would do if I sat on that panel. In short, I do not go around trying to come across as a nice guy as do our politicians. They have been presenting themselves as real nice while they screwed each and every one of us who lives in this township. Only Ireland should be pleased by their niceness.
