See today's letters to the editor. He's playing the race & religion card again.
However, also on the same page is an editorial about the Tarragon project on Rt 10 in Hanover. People don't want that project because it's too big and will cause mass congestion. How is that different than the people in RT not wanting CC cause it's too big and will also cause mass congestion among other things? Why must certain people say race and religion is the reason? It's happening all around. Citizens are tired of having their towns taken over by mega buildings that do not add to the town, but take away from their infrastructure. It's not for any other reason but that they live there, they have to live with whatever is decided and if it destroys environment, traffic, taxes, emergency services, etc why should they put up with it? It's their town!
I agree. Using race or religion is a convenient way of avoiding the real issues of environment, traffic and infrastructure. Is he saying that the Sierra Club is also against this because of race and religion? Hopefully most people see past this obvious "change the subject" tactic. Looking forward to Sept 13th to discuss the real issues in a forum that matters.
I looked - however I have not seen on statement from Ted as to how this plan is NOT going to harm the environment. I have read the plans, reports, spoken to environmental experts and I can site chapter and verse from the Highlands bill as to where this land is offered the highest levels of protection. I can also clearly see and explain how an underground parking garage in the middle of the wetlands will upset the water table and have a poor impact on the water in the area (rivers and public water sources).
Yet again all our "neighbor" Ted has done was call people names and act like a child. There will be a responce to his letter submitted to the Daily Record. I am not surprised in his actions as he has admited this type or addiction in the past, one would hope he would seek help for this as it is common knowledge addictions are not good things.
See you all on September 13th at Copeland.

The Christ Church Plan for the redevelopment of 140 Green Pond Rd is just too big for the area.
