Here comes the Highlands Bill!

Highlands Preservation and Planning Act
Bill Signing 

WHO: Governor James E. McGreevey and Advocates

WHAT: Governor McGreevey, joined by former Governors and other dignitaries, will
sign the Highlands Preservation and Planning Act. The Act, which establishes some of
the toughest environmental standards in the nation, preserves approximately 400,000
acres and protects drinking water for more than half of the state's residents.

WHERE:  Wanaque Reservoir Dam -- a spectacular view of the Highlands and one of the
state's largest reservoirs.

WHEN:  Tuesday, August 10, 2004 12:00 pm

DIRECTIONS:  Take Rt. 287 North to Exit 55 (Wanaque/Pompton Lakes). At exit, make 
right onto Rt. 511N -- Ringwood Avenue. Take Rt. 511 approximately 1.7 miles.Approximately 1/4 of a mile past St. Francis Church look for the Flags and
Monument on your left. Continue on Ringwood Ave for 0.2 miles until water foundations are visible on your left. Enter grounds at the brown Security
Building. Follow Security Guard's directions.

RAIN LOCATION: North Jersey District Water Supply Commission's meeting room. Follow  Security Guard's directions.
