I wonder what this refers to, or maybe it's just the choice of words...(in caps below), what "settlement" are they referring to?
"...The freeze should be put in place immediately and held until the following are finalized:
** A Regional Master Plan in the entire Highlands Region including:
1. Land Capability Map for Highlands
2. Comprehensive and complete scientific water data
3. Strong scientific environmental resource data including forest and ecosystem health
** A workable TDR plan
** DEP fixes the rules to include public participation requirements for the exemption process
** DEP FREEZES ALL STATE PERMITS AND REGISTRATIONS FOR NEW CONSTRUCTION AND REOPENS ALL EXEMPTIONS PRIOR TO THE CHRIST CHURCH SETTLEMENT
** DEP pulls back all sewer service areas and capacity in areas without approved Wastewater Management Plans and ensure a capacity buffer in their NJPDES permits..."
Well it sure sounds like the DEP is making a deal with CC. I wonder what the deal involves and what recourse the township has if the deal does not sufficiently constrain this overblown (for the site) project. It sure looks like the DEP is playing favorites here.
The DEP is simply going to play good politics. So, when is RT going to wake up to the political reality of the situation and understand that there is not going to be a "Saviour" comming to our rescue?
Can you say - - -
"Eminent Domain"?
ps - real estate is not moving around here. I have that information from some of the real estate agents that we have been in recent contact with. The problem is this as stated by the agents:
Christ Church
btw - they will never go public with that one! Potential customers come and then go. They come because the prices are very low here compared to anyplace else. They go because they find out about the horror show going on down the street here.
