If the RT planning board can not find enough reasons to kill the cc project, then there would never in history ever be a project that could possibly come before the board that they would kill. This project is so obviously in need of denial, it it totally beyond comprehension.
But, if they do approve it, I would say that the PB should be disbanded. Then, a simple rubber stamp should be given to the township clerk that says "APPROVED". All future projects would just be submitted to the clerk and the clerk would simply use the aforementioned stamp.
Why not elect or appoint Rat to the PB. Not only would stuff probably get done in a timely matter, good or bad, but the entertainment value would be astounding! I mean it would be kinda like a cross between "The Peoples Court" and the "Jerry Springer Show"! We could sell the video rights to any number of networks and replace any lost tax revenue from granted non-taxable applications! Need a campaign manager rat?
Can't say that I disagree. One would think that even under RLUIPA there are more than enough public safety, traffic and environmental problems posed by the application to support a denial. By the way I couldn't help but notice that the for sale sign has been absent from your property for a while now. Have you reconsidered your decision to sell?
