When the town you live in and support can be ripped away from you by outsiders who have no intentions of contributing to the town. When your elected officials can't say a word and they're suppose to be supporting you. When you're already paying high taxes and getting minimal services and see they're going to go up again and you won't be getting anything for it but more traffic, maybe a cut in emergency services cause the system will be drained, loss of property value, your rural community will become home to outsiders by the thousands. And this is democracy? Sad state of affairs.
Easy now, Its not over by any means. I firmly believe they will try and they will fail. This is still America. Can you say landmark case? This is not what the framers of the constitution had in mind when drafting the first amendment .
You are right about the framers, Monster! But there have been a lot of Supreme Court Rulings that do not seem to have one iota of resemblence to the intentions of the framers of our Constitution. I guess I am just a bit more pessimistic than you are. (I am basically a "****imist" - - - that is to say - - -a ****ed off Pessimist!)
And what makes this case different,(this is only my opinion) is they are trying this in the third most affluent county in America. NIMBY happens to supreme court justices too.
Hey Rational, if by a chance in hell they get in here, I have a business proposition. We open a ladys hat store in Rockaway Borough.
